Lyrics for Riad n' the Bedouins as interpreted by hallowedbe666

Riad n' the Bedouins Lyrics
Oh Oh Oh

Riad and the bedouins
Got a plan and walk right in
But I don't give a fuck 'bout them
'Cause I am crazy

Oh, my salvation
Oh, my frustrations
Caught in the lies
No one I love is there
Somewhere in time
When will I get there
Oh

Oh
Oh Oh
Oh
Oh Oh Oh

Riad and the bedouins
So that's the world
I've had enough of them
Who can't blame me?
Half the time they're bedouins
Nomads and/or Aryans
You'll never take me

Oh, my salvation
Oh, my frustrations
Caught in the lies
No one I love is there
Somewhere in time
People will like me there

Oh, sweet salvation
Oh, my frustrations
Caught in the lies
If you ignore this world
Somewhere in time
When will I get there?
Oh

Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh

Oh, my salvation
Oh, my frustrations
Caught in the lies
If you ignore this world
Somewhere in time
People will like me there
Oh

Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh

Riad = Love. Bedouins = Nomads. This song talks about how life is for wanderers and homeless people in the Middle East and how no one (especially in the Western world) really cares about them.

If this had been a single everyone would have thought it was racist. Good job Axl forked out for the rights for Martin Luther King Jr. speeches and samples from Mississipi Burning to ensure nobody had such outrageous ideas.

I don't think the song is directly about 'Riad and the bedouins' in a subject way. I believe it's about a person who has had very bad experiences with love and expressing it to someone, to a level that he's going insane. He doesn't want to be reminded about his misfortune and experience more of the shit he has gone through (But I dont give a fuck 'bout them/But I have had enough of them), so he slowly starts to isolate himself from love and human feelings.

This song is about Riad, who loves to conquer, but he quickly discovers someone who is more intelligent than him and lost the final battle. It reminds me so much "Genghis Khan" of Maiden

The city is Riyadh, not Riad, and it is the capital of Saudi Arabia.

About lovers and people looking for love I beleive.

Riad is a city in the Middle east that means love, and bedouins are wonderers, simialar to nomads..

That's what I think anyway.

"Riad" could be a reference to The Story of Bayad and Riyad, an Arabic love story. It's also the term for a traditional Moroccan house or palace with an interior garden (from Wiki).

The Bedouin are a group of Arab nomads who were partly the inspiration for the Fremen in Frank Herbert's novel Dune.
