    General Comment:To be honest I personally agree with freeasabird16. I think it is a very romantic song, The inspiration love teaches you to feel and the struggles you go through while falling in love. I personally do not think that this song is for Adam... The guitar IS in fact a tribute to his brother but not every song David writes is for him. Permanent and I THINK Daily Anthem as well as AC is songs for him but certainly not this one... I don't think he'd call his brother "Baby" either but then again some artists intentionally write the lyrics to strike different meanings with certain people to incorporate with themselves. But we don't fully know David's intention with this song unless you ask him.

    General Comment:Well he wrote this song for his brother Adam Cook (That's what the AC on his guitar stands for). Adam died of cancer in 2009 after an eleven year fight.

    To me this song talks about the joy he felt in winning american idol and pursuing a dream of being a famous musician, but he knows deep inside the lessons he has learned from his brother, fighting to the end, are what will help him to succeed in life.

    When he says "it reminds me of where I want to be, With you and you alone" i think is a reference to he and his brother being brothers, reflecting upon childhood memories and "the good times".


    This is a great song, very inspirational, very powerful.

    General Comment:i disagree with xlittlesparrowx. i don't think it can be written about his family cuz some of the lyrics have a very sexual commotation, like "pull me in like you were made for me" and "i crawl into your atmosphere", and since david's never mentioned incest, i really doubt it's anything but romantic. he's singing about a girl that brings out the best in him and that he looks up to. but just because it's romantic doesn't make it not inspirational. and romance is not less that inspiration, it's just different.

    General Comment:To say that this song is anything less than an inspirational anthem would be wrong. Heroes is my personal favorite on the record, simply because of its open chorus and soaring vocals...and the inspiration behind each and every word. David wrote this for his family, a reminder that they will always be his guiding force...his personal heroes.

    General Comment:ive listened a few times, and i thinkk that its about a man who clearly loves this girl, and he keeps learning things about life, and he keeps falling in love deeper and deeper, like when he says ''nog gonna come down, down off of these clouds'' hes on cloud 9 of love:]
