La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la

Oh, baby, baby, have you seen Amy tonight?
Is she in the bathroom, is she smokin' up outside? (Oh)
Oh baby, baby, does she take a piece of lime
For the drink that I'ma buy her?
Do you know just what she likes? (Oh)

Oh, oh
Tell me have you seen her? 'Cause I'm so (oh)
I can't get her off of my brain
I just wanna go to the party she gon' go
Can't somebody take me home?
Haha, hehe, haha, ho

Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Love me, hate me
But can't you see what I see?
All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

(Love me, hate me) la, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la

Amy told me that she's gonna meet me up
I don't know where or when and now they're closin' up the club (oh)
I've seen her once or twice before, she knows my face
But it's hard to see with all the people standin' in the way (oh)

Oh, oh
Tell me have you seen her? 'Cause I'm so (oh)
I can't get her off of my brain
I just wanna go to the party she gon' go
Can't somebody take me home?
Haha, hehe, haha, ho

Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Love me, hate me
But can't you see what I see?
All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

(Love me, hate me) oh, say what you want about me
Oh, but can't you see what I see?
(Love me, hate me) yeah, say what you want about me
(La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la)

So tell me if you see her
(Let me know what she was wearing and what she was like)
'Cause I've been waiting here forever
(Let me know where she was going, I don't mind)
Oh, baby, baby, if you seek Amy tonight (oh)
Oh, baby, baby, we'll do whatever you'll like
Oh, baby, baby, baby
Oh, baby, baby, baby

La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la

Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Love me, hate me
But can't you see what I see?
All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me (yeah)
(La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la) yeah

Love me, hate me
But can't you see what I see?
All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

(Love me, hate me) oh, say what you want about me
Oh, but can't you see what I see?
(Love me, hate me) yeah, say what you want about me

All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

I think this song is about duplicity.

The love and the hate. The double meaning of the title The double meaning of the song The double life featured in the video The double meaning behind the word 'Fuck' (Could mean sex or fucking someone over)

It's all about how not everything is so black and white it can be both at the same time.

    Awesome song

This song is about her mocking all of the people who talk about her in the tabloids and exploit all of her business. Always on top of what club she is at, what she is drinking, who she is with and wanting to feel important by knowing her. She sees it as, all these people really want is my attention, they want to FUCK ME, they want a piece of me. She is mocking my referring to herself as (amy) "Have you seen (me)!?! What am I doing this time?? Please everyone! Tell the world what I was wearing, what I was doing! Everyone Just F* ME!

The song phonetically spells F-U-C-K-M-E; great song though!

Actually, I think there is much more to this song.. I see it as dealing with perceptions of duality: Amy is sort of Britney's alter ego, but moreso, Amy is the Britney that the media sees.. If you listen to the lyrics it has its multiple personality moments where she says she just wants to go to the party where Amy's at and then suddenly asks for someone to take me home.. so it's as if the song pits against each other: media's idea of Britney versus who Britney wants to be, and on an underlying level, versus who she really is. I got this idea after finally seeing the video.. Britney is making it clear that she is not what the media sees her to be, hence the complete name change to Amy.. so, as Britney desperately hopes, if you seek Amy, she's not here.

if you look at it, "amy" is "me" in her f-u-c-k me line. shes basically talking about herself but in third person. "is she smokin up outside?" and throughout the song shes another person, looking for herself in a club. "I’ve seen her once or twice before she knows my face But its hard to see with all the people standing in the way" of course theres going to be people surrounding her, shes BRITNEY SPEARS! lol.

I can't believe I just wasted 12 seconds of my life, downloading this stupid fucking song!! I wish there were some sort 'emoticon' for an ( anti - <3 ) and those who think Britney is "brilliant" and/or "amazing" needs to get there heads checked!!

I'm not saying I wouldn't do her... just saying she's an absolute moron, that's all.

    My Opinion

Okay, I'll be the first old person to come along and shit on this party.

The concept of this song title is nowhere near original, considering April Wine released "If You See Kay" back in 1982. Of course back then we too were all giddy over the fact that we could run around the school yard singing obscenities....

    Yeah, anyway.

Aaaaaand it's yet another piece of crap churned out by Britney's fabulous writers. I don't blame her for the song. It's the writers and producers that green-lit this shit. I do blame her for agreeing to put her name on it. I don't think I can legally say that she sang the song because what little vocal talent she has is always synthesized beyond recognition.

What? Britney can't get press because she's not a trainwreck anymore? Hmm... what can we do? Oh! I know! Let's have her sing a song that sneakily spells out a bad word! That'll be sure to get some airtime!

People that enjoy shit like this are the reason the world might not last past 2012.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
