  General Comment:Talk about people interpreting songs all over the place:
  
  The lyrics to Halo by Beyonce explain how much of an impact a man has made on her life. She has been hurt by being in love before, and she has built up walls around her and made up rules for her to follow to prevent her from experiencing pain again. However, she met a person that quickly tore down the walls and let himself in, and she is realizing that she needed to protect herself from letting the wrong person in. The right person would not cause her such pain.
  
  This man is her ``saving grace'', and she is referring to him as her angel. She is able to feel his presence by his ``halo'', and she is hoping that he is not too good to be true. He has allowed her to break free from her own insecurities, and she now knows that their life will defy even gravity. He has given her a new chance at life, and she ``feels like I've been awakened'', and she is willing to take the risk of never shutting him out. The light from his ``halo'' follows her, and everywhere she is, she is surrounded by his embrace.

  General Comment:If you only knew what's coming... and the allegiances that the music industry, and hollywood have made. This song is, as so many other are... secretly about devil worship you don't believe this... Because you do not...understand! (I am at peace whether you do or don't this is just a warning) This is not about, opinions, or believing, it's about knowing! Knowing that Truth is stranger than fiction... You may not believe/know that people sell their souls... You may not believe/know that there are non human forces at work in the world that do not play by the rules of men or God, and that these forces seek your very souls. That these forces have been around since the fall, you may not even believe/know there was a fall. Well that does not change the facts... that does not! Change the truth that has been so carefully hidden, that all the average human has left is the sugar coated topping of a false reality. This can be understood... there is a path to understanding your enemy as Tsun Tsu stated in The Art of War. However, many don't acknowledge an enemy, or cannot see his application, his hand in the affairs of man... in the real world. The time will come when all will realize the chess game that is being played on mankind, for some it will be check mate. For some they will ally themselves with the real king. This is not about religion once you know the truth, the role of religion becomes crystal clear. Seek truth, not religion, then have the audacity to doubt... then search... search... and re-search then you will find that real eyes, realize, real lies... Godspeed in your quest... if you dare.
  
  PS. This... is bigger than you, or me, respect your human limitations and vulnerabilities and realize that they have been exploited. That a little while ago humans were sure the world was flat, we are steeped in ignorance once you realize this, then doubt starts to seep in, this doubt is the beginning of your quest for the truth. Be humble be prayerful be dilligent in your search and I promise you what you will learn will shake you to your core ! My prayer is that all could know but many will not...

    I have an open enough mind to see where you are coming from, I know about hollywood and the dire stuff that goes on, there are some fantastic artists who dont make it, yet had everything at their disposal, they didnt adhere to the 'rules' and others who only sound good with the help of a studio, yet they become huge almost overnight.My eyes have been so opened i didn't believe a word at first, but too much fits into place, I know about the contract etc I wont go into detail here BUT I honestly do think this song is about love, I can relate to it in my life right now, I had that wall built, he helped me take it down through trust and an awful lot of love, beaking of rules- he broke his 'relationship' rules to stay with me and I can feel his embrace whether we are together or not. You do put an interesting slant on it. Oh ps. it's actualy a myth that people thought the world was flat, it was/is flat under your feet, thats what they meant, honestly it's a myth thats silly because in those days boats were trading back and forth overseas from rome, india and other over-seas places

  Song Meaning:Pretty sure its about a woman whos been so hurt by past relationships, she's built walls around her heart to protect herself. I think that even though she swore to herself that she'd never love again, she feels that this man has saved her from a lifetime of lonliness. Now she's hoping he doesnt break her heart.

  My Interpretation:I was just listening to this song on my iTunes and I was just curious about what people thought this song meant to them, and after hearing peoples theories I decided to create an account and voice my meaning of this song.
  
  Okay, well I think it's about a woman who got her heartbroken in a previous relationship, quite possibly the person who she thought was the love of her life, and she vowed to herself to shut close with lock and key the doors of her heart to keep guarded from ever being hurt once more by another man. And then, the unexpected happened-she fell deeply, utterly, unconditionally, and irrevocably in love! And the reason why I think this to be true, is the following:
  
  "Remember those walls I built

  They didnt even make a sound
  I found a way to let you in
  But I never really had a doubt
  Standin in the light of your Halo
  I got my angel now"
  
  She was keeping very guarded to the point that she put up an invisible wall, as to not let anyone in and get to know the real her, but somehow, this new love interest of hers kept insisting that he was the right guy for her and that he was going to mend her broken heart. Secretly she believed him and she wanted it to be true, but she never spoke the words out loud, her pride wouldn't allow her to muster the words for fear of getting hurt. However, the part of her that believed the words he spoke and his love to be true to her-was the more dominant part of her, and it was building her trust and confidence in her towards him regardless of how much she tried to fight against it.

  Now that all her defenses have been destroyed, she can now see the real him and allow not only him to love her, but allow herself to love him back as well. His love was enough to break into her heart and ignite the real person that she was and will now be once again thanks to him, that is why she feels like she has been awaken-she is seeing the world through brand new eyes; so to speak, and she took a tremendous risk of getting hurt by him during the process because she opened up her heart and let him break through the impenetrable walls that she built, thus breaking everything she vowed upon when she refused love after getting hurt. And now that she has witnessed the true power of love, she never wants to keep him out in the dark ever again because she knows firsthand what it feels like through the other end.

  In a way that hate and resentment that built within her was also kinda gnawing at her alive and it was killing her softly, and then he came along like her knight in shinning armor and showed her that she doesn't have to live with all that hate and resentment. He taught and showed her the true meaning of love and everything that it is and what it stands for, and she is blessed that he saved her in that sense and prays that, that nice, kind, and generous persona in him won't ever leave him, like it possibly did with her former flame. And every time she looks at him, she thinks to herself that the only person or thing that she will ever need to go on and survive...is him-the love he provides her with, he's the true-real love of her life, he's her everything! He's the air that she breathes, the whisper in the wind, the beat of her heart, the sun in her face, etc.

  She realizes that she is very dependent on him and even more so than she would like to be-she needs him in order to survive, for her world can't function without him in it-he's like her drug. And yes, she realizes that she promised to herself that she would never let another man swoop her off her feet, but this time the feeling is different, and she comes to the conclusion that what she has with him is in fact true love-like the fairytale type, and the reason that she feels like it's different this time is because she actually is in love with someone who loves her back, as oppose to before that she was in love with the idea of being in love with her previous relationship. And she would like to believe that if it wasn't love, that she wouldn't be fooled a second time, that what she suffered through before would be the voice of reason to tell her to back away and keep from repeating the cycle.
