Trying to break down the defenses to get to the good stuff, the pure, untainted stuff.
My girlfriend just broke up with me. and staying up late thinking about it, accepting it, this song came on when i was watching a random music video channel. it kinda made me laugh, because i don't want to hope anymore, but how can I? ha, fate or whatever made this song come on is toying with me.

Oh man, this sums up a lot of my relationships right there. I think a lot people could relate. She is saying that they hurt each other, they argue, they fight, it's hell when they are together, but at the end of the day, they don't know how to live without each other. That is how she justifies staying in this relationship. I used to do this a lot. "I can't stand him anymore, but I wouldn't know what to do if he wasn't around, so I guess that means we are still in love".
