I recognized your number,
It's burned into my brain,
Felt my heart beating faster,
Every time it rang.
Some things never change,
That's why I didn't answer.

I bet you're in a bar,
Listening to a country song.
Glass of Johnny Walker Red,
With no one to take you home.
They're probably closing down,
Saying, "No more alcohol."
I bet you're in a bar
'Cause I'm always your last call.

I don't need to check that message.
I know what it says.
"Baby, I still love you,"
Don't mean nothing when there's whiskey on your breath.
That's the only love I get.
So if you're calling

I bet you're in a bar
Listening to a cheatin' song
Glass of Johnny Walker Red
With no one to take you home
They're probably closing down
Saying, "No more alcohol"
I bet you're in bar,
'Cause I'm always your last

Call me crazy but
I think maybe
We've had our last call.

I bet you're in a bar.
It's always the same old song.
That Johnny Walker Red,
By now it's almost gone.
But baby, I won't be there
To catch you when you fall.
I bet you're in bar
'Cause I'm always your last call

General Comment:It's fairly self-explanatory. He only wants something to do with her once he's drunk.

Thank you Lee Ann Womack for this song. It's brought so many of us closure, I think, and also helped us realize we're not alone.

    My story (if anyone cares)
My ex -- we broke up 3 years ago, but for the next two years, he'd still call me, and I'd always be there for him. I just loved him so much and didn't realize how terrible it was.

I've lived in a different town 3 hours away for the last year, and been with a stable, loving guy, but my ex still randomly calls me, drunk. It's so hard, especially when you have such an extensive history and still deeply care about a person, to NOT pick up the phone. I still answer, but just tell him how happy I am now. /shrugs/ I guess that's all you can do.

General Comment:Ha. Until you've been drunk dialed you never appreciate a song like this.

    Asshole.

It feels better when you're finally strong enough not to pick up.

My Interpretation:Its sad. She's always there for him.
    He's cheating I assume...
Hes a drunk, and wants nothing to do with her unless he needs a ride home from the bar. And she always drops everything & comes to his side.

General Comment:I dated a guy for about three years, we ended things and I tried moving on, LeeAnn is very strong for not giving in, This song always brings tears to my eyes. It definitly relates to him a lot. Now he'll call or text and immediatly i drop everything for him. I'm always there.

General Comment:I love this song... my last relationship is just BURNED into this song.. I'm not even playing. I was so in love with this guy.. seriously in love. We were together for two years.. and how weird that his FAVORITE drink was really Johnny Walker Red Label.. It's just weird.. this is HIS song. We were always together.. I can't recall him ever telling me he loved me without having drank... Towards the end of the relationship, he would only call me when he was done having his fun for the night and was drunk.. I was his last call for sure. This song should seriously be named after him.
