well the meaning in my eyes and experience is:
he thought that everything was going great he thought he wouldnt have to rush things because they had their love, he knows that she cheated on her and he wants her to have some feelings for him he wants something and not being able to hold her kiss her and call her his its very hard, he wonders if she is still the same he cant hear her voice its to hard to just be friends, hes going crazy, she would always be on and off with him, now all he has is the pain she left,hes giving her time,"wheres the fiar youve become the rain" is like saying wears our flam you have washed it out witch means the love they once had has been ruined , and no matter what pain she put him threw he still loves her , so instead he will just leave so he dosnt have to deal with the pain in his heart , it really is harder then they know whern they leave you for someone.
but as for me
my boyfriend and i went back out together he said all he did was a mistake but yet it still hurts threwout him dating her he would rub in my face how gorguse she was and how in love they were,but seriously she was states away they met on the internet she ended up being fake but yet i still love him with all my heart but back then that was honestly my theme song but then i had my very first kiss and it was with him he became crazy in love with me so everything is ok but honestly guys things will always get better :)

I'm in love with this person - this incredible, fascinating, one of a kind person, who is also emotionally abusive, bipolar, has borderline personality disorder, is sadistic, compulsive, and complicated in so many ways. This person and I went through so much shit together. She put me through hell and back more times than one. She made me feel every single emotion in the book. And I fell in love - with the pain, with the feelings, with the adrenaline, with the confusion, the lies, the emotion, the reality, I fell in love with her and all of her compulsion and confusion. I was addicted to the pain, it made me feel alive, like I could do anything. She made me feel like the most amazing person in the world, and I loved it.
But I couldn't live like that anymore. She screwed over one of my closest friends, who happens to mean the world to me and more. We stopped talking for months, and everything was back to normal in my life, but I missed her. I wanted her back so very desperately.
I got over it. I accepted things for what they were, I attempted to move on with my life.
But then, then we started talking again. The chorus is haunting to me. It could kill.

I also have strong feelings for the close friend I mentioned earlier.
I don't want to be in a relationship with her or anything like that, but I'm addicted to her. She means so much to me. I have this huge fear of hurting her and losing her. She's the one who keeps me grounded, who keeps me going, who makes me realize everything that I'm doing right or wrong. She's one of a kind, and so much greater than the common person. We're going to be separated this next year because of high school. She's going to a different school, and I'm so terrifed of losing her and drifting from the only person that I know for sure that I love. The one who is always there, always cheers me up, always makes me happy. But despite all of that, I fear that I don't mean that much to her. How can I miss her when she's never truly stayed with me? You know?
I've hurt her a few times, even though she says that I haven't. It's like... I shoved so much in her face, more than she could handle. If she needs time, I'll give it to her. I'll do anything for her. I'm torn between these two people, they both make me feel so alive in so many ways, and I'm confused. I give up on my heart. I'll do anything for some balance. For things to be right.

The second verse seems to me like he had suspicions "How can I miss you if you never would stay/If you need time I guess I'll go away" but he still loved her enough to trust her.
And the "I'll make the call" part seems like he knows it will be hard, but it's what's best for him.
Amazing song. Can't get enough of it; I find it on repeat a lot. I'm sure it's been playing in many people's ears when their lover was unfaithful. I know I love it. Everything about it is amazing.
I guess I listen too deeply to songs, but it touched me a lot, and it's a nice change to see in Escape The Fate.
It's also nice to see a site talking about an ETF song without everyone going insane over Ronnie being better than Craig and vice versa, 'cause they both have their own vocal strengths and differences, it mainly comes down to personal opinion.
