  Song Meaning:[btw, in verse two, the last line is supposed to be "but there s only so much the woman can take".]
  
  basically, he s saying that he s done and been through alot but he even though he has, he s moved on from it [hince the "i don t cry no more"]. when he says, "girl, i know you want this," it s saying "i know you don t want to be with me and crying won t change it" or "i know this is what you want [to break up] so i ll stop focusing on it/worrying about it/trying to fix it [aka crying/trying/lying]." in the second verse, he means that he realizes that he made his own hurt ["i took the picture...faced the truth"] by smothering her w/ his love && pushing her away ["lived a lifetime w/ you...watched you fall asleep...only so much the woman can take"]. in the third verse, he s saying "i m not all that but i know what s going on ["i know the deal"] and i ll want you only if you want me ["...bleed for your(s) if you ll bleed for mine..."].

    the line you are referring to is actually "there's only so much one man can take" it sounds like woman and many of the lyric sites have it wrong too but he's saying he's done and can't take it anymore.
