Won't you let me give you a hand?
I have an extra I'm not using
Won't you let me lighten your load?
I mean after all your legs are shaking

And I can understand
All I need is your hand
Oh, won't you take the fall?
It is me after all

Won't you let me match your stride?
I can slow down if you want to
We can handle it side by side
What do you say girl, don't you want to?

And I can understand
All I need is your hand
Oh, won't you take the fall?
It is me after all

I'd be lying if I ran away
I'd be lying if I ran away
And so I'll stay

But won't you let me be your man?
I'm strong enough you know that I can
Be the one to ease your mind
Ease your mind

And I can understand
All I need is your hand
Oh, won't you take the fall?
It is me after all

I'd be lying if I ran away
I'd be lying if I ran away
And so I'll stay

Won't you let me give you a hand?
I have an extra I'm not using
Won't you let me lighten your load?
I mean after all your legs are shaking

And I can understand
All I need is your hand
Oh, won't you take the fall?
It is me after all

And I can understand
All I need is your hand
Oh, won't you take the fall?
It is me after all

There is not much that you can do
To get me to run away from you
There is not much that you can do
To get me to run away from you

There is not much that you can do
To get me to run away from you
There is not much that you can do
To get me to run away from you
(I'd be lying if I ran away)

There is not much that you can do
To get me to run away from you
There is not much that you can do
To get me to run away from you
(I'd be lying if I ran away)

There is not much that you can do
To get me to run away from you
There is not much that you can do
To get me to run away from you

Let me preface with a line from Greg Laswell's song Not Out where he says "and it's easier to sing the things I wanna say to you"

This is a great song....to me it is about a man (greg?) who likes a girl who is afraid to love in return.

However, he understands and is willing to be patient "i can slow down if you want to"

He goes on to say, "oh won't you take the fall" which i interpret to mean take a chance, or take a leap of faith because "it is me after all" which means she can have some confidence in him.

i'm with you stevewaters...what he means with this song is to cheering this girl to take that leap of faith...she has nothing to lose, she has nothing to be afraid of, she shouldn't be so doubtfull, because "IT'S ME AFTER ALL" it's all in those 4 words (or 5 :P)

I think that's all about taking that leap of faith blindess because you have a good man in front of you, girl! and his name is Greg Laswell! xD

    Love love LOVE this song.

Especially the lined "it is me after all"...a message of familiarity, asking the girl to take that extra leap of faith.

That line, "I'd be lying if I ran away" is what really gets me in this song. His devotion is such that, regardless of whether she's willing to go for it and see what they can be together, it would be a lie to leave her. He doesn't say, "I'd be hiding if I ran away" or "I wouldn't be telling the whole truth if I ran away." There's a distinction between failing to say something true and saying something that is distinctly not true. He loves her so much that leaving her would be distinctly untrue. That's pretty cool, I think.

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
