Lyrics for DLZ as interpreted by wphantom

DLZ Lyrics
Congratulations on the mess you made of things;
On trying to reconstruct the air and all that brings.
And oxidation is the compromise you own
But this is beginning to feel like the dog wants her bones
saved

You force your fire then you falsify your deeds
Your methods dot the disconnect from all your creeds
And fortune strives to fill the vacuum that it feeds
But this is beginning to feel like the dog's lost her lead

This is beginning to feel like the long
winded blues of the never
This is beginning to feel like it's curling up slowly
and finding a throat to choke

This is beginning to feel like the long
winded blues of the never
Barely controlled locomotive consuming the picture
and blowing the crows, the smoke

This is beginning to feel like the long
winded blues of the never
Static eplosion devoted to crushing the broken
and shoving their souls to ghost

Eternalised. Objectified.
You set your sights so high.
But this is beginning to feel like
the bolt busted loose from the lever

Never you mind
Death professor
Your structure's fine
My dust is better
Your victim flies so high
All to catch a bird's eye view of who's next

Never you mind
Death professor.
Love is life,
My love is better.
Eyes could be the diamonds
Confused with who's next

Never you mind
Death professor.
Your shocks are fine,
My struts are better.
Your fiction flies so high,
Y'all could use a doctor
Who's sick, who's next?

Never you mind
Death professor.
Electrified, my love is better
It's crystallized, so'm I.
All could be the diamond
Fused with who's next

This is beginning to feel
like the dawn of the luz of forever.

This is beginning to feel
like the dawn of the luz of forever.

This is beginning to feel
like the dawn of the luz of forever.

i believe luz means light in portuguese

don't speak a word of portuguese myself, but Benfica's stadium is called Estadio da Luz and it's translated as the Stadium of Light

Yes I will admit I am wrong...so much for guessing lyrics from the leaked version before getting the booklet. I will say that there is a typo in the booklet, in Lover's day the word "wanton" is spelled "wonton" so hey, ya never know. And my name is CoySmileExposes, sound familiar, playhouses maybe? Im a bit of a fan. I know more about this band (and their style) than you do fistfuloflove and pessimistic lyrics are not out of the question you goon.

it actually does sound like "This is beginning to feel like the dawn of a loser forever"

this is one of the darker songs off the album anyways.

It's feels like a song about rejecting someone out to ruin the world... a "death professor" or something...

i think this song is about how screwed up the world is today and how everything is slowly falling apart, and we are the reason it has become this way. "But this is beginning to feel like the bolt busted loose from the lever"

lalm001 I agree with you on that. and "This is beginning to feel
like the dawn of the luz of forever" saying that we are all starting to see the truth as the light of dawn breaks. Great song!

does anybody else think this has to do with george w. bush and the iraq war? i know they've said in interviews that other songs from this album, like "red dress", are about bush.

Never you mind
Death professor
Your structure's fine
My dust is better
Your victim flies so high
All to catch a bird's eye view of who's next

It reminds me of a sniper that makes a kill and the persons soul or dust rises to see the next person be killed. and yes I think it has to do with war and could be iraq.

The song is obviously about the corrupt political leaders and the current geopolitical state of the international community. "Death Professor" refers to politicians who orchestrate wars for their own agendas, causing the deaths of its citizens as a result. It is from the perspective of a citizen who is revolting but feels as though its too late to save the cause...:i would like to know what DLZ actually stands for though...if anyone has any ideas...?

This song is fucking glorious. Just saw it performed live this past weekend. Lots of emotion and letting loose from the audience. I like the above description of the lyrics. Revolutionary song.

luz is a bone described by the writing of some rabbis that is meant to be indestructable. let's not forget that tvotr are educated guys who not only write amazing emotional lyrics, but challenging, obscure, and poetic ones that require us to think beyond most of the frivolous music we are force fed on a daily basis.

Hey CoySmilesExposes, you're a fucking trick ass little bitch.

Seriously. Who the FUCK honestly says "I'm a bigger fan that you" just because they were a big enough faggot to name yourself after lyrics of a song? Are you 13? It wouldn't surprise me. And for the asshole who is going to jump in like a tool and say "THIS IS SONG MEANINGS.NET I WONDER WHY NO ONE TALKS ABOUT SONGSMEANINGS", shut the fuck up before I slap the taste out of your mouth.

CoySmilesExpose, I've met Tv on the Radio before, on the fucking street. Does that make me a bigger fan? The fact that I've talked to them? In your 13 year old girl brain it probably does, but no, it doesn't. Sorry people, this shit needs to be said so this little bitch doesn't end up sounding like more of an idiot because they are claiming they are the biggest fans of the newest band they just heard last week. The band? Radiohead. Yeah I know your type CoySmilesExpose. Straight tool. I don't care if you're a 40 year old, people like you ruin music for everyone else because you have no sense of identity, and therefore must shit on other people's day by acting like you know shit about shit.

AND FOR FUCK'S SAKE, BANDS ARE ALLOWED TO USE WORDPLAY IN THE LINER NOTES.

Religion. How can that not strike anyone as such? You pick yours (religion) 'mine is better' death professor(God). -- Reconstruct air and all that breathes. I mean really, this sees like the only logical answer to me. Comments please. Iraq? This is beginning to feel like the dog lost its lead (saved).... No church becoming a business not a faith( hence the AXIS OF EVIL) we're fighting. I could keep going

DUDE, your love and his lack of; doesn't make him a douche, just less informed. Chill out with the tongue, my kid gets on here. Don't hate because others take music lighter than you. I learn from the stuff, others just can't stand silence(hence the track on the disc). We know who's who, save the name calling for myspace or some other lame site. Take care

According to me the subject of the song is the
title of the album "dear science"
the one that is creating better bombs for our good.
the one that provides us with all those things we should not be able to live without
but that are killing us for sure.
the one that is feeding us with GMOs, stamping a copyright on the living, and
for which life is just another adjustment variable.

the "death professors":
the leaders of the industry
covered by the lies of governments
who sell us happiness in a can
and make us believe that it is progress

Here are some of the definitions I found for DLZ:
DLZ Drop Landing Zone
DLZ Designated Launch Zone (military aviation)

"This is beginning to feel
like the dawn of the luz of forever"

the final light, the Great Atomic End
engineered by the Geniuses of our Time
what is your 65% oxygene 18% carbon 10% hydrogene body
worth as compared to their "big steps for Humanity"?

"Never you mind
Death professor
Your structure's fine
My dust is better
Your victim flies so high
All to catch a bird's eye view of who's next"

English is not my first language so I may be wrong.
This is however how I feel this song.
for the moment at least.
Hope it makes sense.
