It reminds me of a sniper that makes a kill and the persons soul or dust rises to see the next person be killed. and yes I think it has to do with war and could be iraq.

The "structure" is some kinda drug. Meth seems to be a good example being that its in dust form when you crush it and its made by a "Death professor". "your victim flies so high" isn't physical or spiritual its mental and that person taking the drug can probably tell who the next victim will be.
This interpretation lends itself to the rest of the song too, with references to diamonds (meth looks kind of like a diamond) and science. (meth is a scientifically processed drug)
here's a few more interpretations:
In "Love is life, My love is better." he could be saying that he loves life not the drug. Or the other way around... not sure. "It's crystallized, so'm I." is quite an obvious hint. Meth is a load of crystallized chemicals.
Anyway... The fact that this song was featured in the TV show "Breaking Bad" is another big hint (or they could just be twisting the meaning to suit their show who knows)
Its hard to say if this is a song against or for drug use (I'd like to think of it as against) its more describing the experience.
