I´d really appreciate if someone could help out.
In general, I guess this song is about two people just searching for "the one". But there is fear, scars, disillusion. In the end the female counterpart takes her courage in her hands to start it, no matter what could result, as she understands that the only thing he needs is trust, because he loves her already pretending it is not so.

i guess it could be about domestic violence. both (boy&girl) had problems to learn how to love during their childhood because they could have probably been hit by their parents, etc. ...
figurativly they never or barely received love and have to deal with the consequences now.
like longing for a lot of love, but being unsure if they could get it from their partner and being very sceptical.

= things everybody knows,the first big love(s) mostly aren't the "loves of your life", maybe the one you'll marry or so. every breakdown and end of a realtionship is a cut in your life and you seem to have to start from the beginning (but later recognize what you've learned from that)

= could be a flashback to what happend to her in her childhood when she has been hit or abused, guess at night. so it's even harder for her to trust him

well, back to topic, wonderful song, imo it's about a relationship which ended because the girl left. (no time at all to explain further! :P)
I do like Razorlight, but when I heard this song for the first time, I got a WTF look on my face. It feels like a bunch of pretty lines you would feed someone to sound deep and emotional. So, I can see why some people are going to love it and some are going to diss it. I think they may have tried too hard with this song (and a couple more of the same album). Just my opinion.
Anyway, as for the topic of the song, is about two damage people by love and in a way, that draws them together .... but at the same time, it's not easy for them to open up themselves to love when is the exactly what got them like that in the first place.

I think its about a girl who is seperate from the others, due to some events in her past, or such as depression and self harm, or through something else, i don't know.
But he is completely blown away by her, shes like nothign hes ever seen before and he love sher for it.
He's one of the crowd, but everything shes been through he's felt her pain, and he doesn't understand how he can love her while shes still all hurt and distant, cos they're so different, but he still does.
