Hey, ohh, let me tell ya no.
Oh Baby.
Trying to decide, trying to decide if I
Really wanna go out tonight
I never used to go out without you
Not sure I remember how to

I'm gonna be late, gonna be late but,
All my girls gonna have to wait cause
I don't know if I like my outfit
I tried everything in my closet

Nothing feels right when I'm not with you
Sick of this dress and these Jimmy Choos
Taking them off cause I feel a fool
Trying to dress up when I'm missing you
Ima step out of this lingerie
Curl up in a ball with something Hanes
In that I lay, with nothing but your t-shirt on
With nothing but your t-shirt on

Hey, gotta be strong gotta be strong but,
I'm really hurting now that your gone
I thought maybe I'd do some shopping
But I couldn't get past the door and

Now I don't know, now I don't know if
I'm ever really gonna let you go and
I couldn't even leave my apartment
I'm stripped down torn up about it

Nothing feels right when I'm not with you
Sick of this dress and these Jimmy Choos
Taking them off cause I feel a fool
Trying to dress up when I'm missing you
Ima step out of this lingerie
Curl up in a ball with something Hanes
In that I lay, with nothing but your t-shirt on

I'm all by myself, with nothing but your t-shirt on
Ohhh, with nothing but your t-shirt on
(Cause I miss you cause I miss you)
With nothing but your t-shirt on (said I miss you baby)

Trying to decide, trying to decide if
I really wanna go out tonight I
Couldn't even leave my apartment
I'm stripped down torn up about it

Nothing feels right when I'm not with you
Sick of this dress and these Jimmy Choos
Taking them off cause I feel a fool
Trying to dress up when I'm missing you
Ima step out of this lingerie
Curl up in a ball with something Hanes
In bed I lay

Hey, hey, nothing feels right when I'm not with you
Sick of this dress and these Jimmy Choos
Taking them off cause I feel a fool
Trying to dress up when I'm missing you (cause I miss you)
Ima step out of this lingerie
Curl up in a ball with something Hanes
In bed I lay (I would be in bed)
With nothing but your t-shirt on

Said I got nothing but your t-shirt on
Hey (cause I want to be close to you)
With nothing but your t-shirt on
I remember when you would like to see me
With nothing but your t-shirt on
Hey (nothing but your t-shirt on)
Let me tell you know (nothing but your t-shirt on)
With nothing but your t-shirt on (fades)

This girl is clearly trying to be the next Rihanna. How weird is it that another bajan girl is trying to make it big in the US?

this song has like, no comments!! but i think that it is OBVIOUSLY about a girl who is trying to get over her ex, but it's not working out. she feels like nothing is going right without him there, and she is still wondering why she is going out to party when she is really missing her ex. its kind of sad, but i like it.

i really like this song a lot. i think its obvious that its about a girl who just got out of a long relationship nd not being able to move on yet but i also think it could used to describe how a girl would feel about her boyfriend dying and her having a hard time, not ready to have to be single again nd she doesnt want to be without him

i just heard this song for the first time tonight and i almost cried. this song is really sad, but i like it. i think it's just about her trying to move on and nothing feeling right without him around anymore. it's hard to move on.

his Hanes t-shirt.... feels like him... smells like him...(probably hasn't washed it...) as soon as i heard the lyrics an intentionally repressed memory of my ex came flooding back... layered between his skin and the white oxford he wears to work...HANES T-SHIRT...whenever i had a bad day, he would take the t-shirt off him and put it on me... his cotton embrace. i felt safe and loved.
with nothing but his t-shirt on... some memories are repressed for a reason.

My girlfriend called off our relationship in August. She asks me to download for her songs like this. The funny thing is that she doesn't have any of my clothes or never wore any of my clothes. She has a cap i gave her though. That was mines. We remain great and special friends though.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
