It comes and slowly stains my heart
That's been cold, all alone and so tightly closed
The sins are scattered everywhere
They're around me
I can't see it
It vainly comes just crashing down
In this sad and forgotten little town
The truth we tend to look the other way from lies down deep

I open out my wings of glass
Up and towards the wind melted future
So just please don't go
Please don't go
Be close to you

I lay my hand on top of the heavy and closed-out door and I pray
The lonely future left for me is one meaning of just living
It comes and slowly stains my heart
That's been cold, all alone and so tightly closed
The sins are scattered everywhere
They're around me
I can't see it
It vainly comes just crashing down
In this sad and forgotten little town
The truth we tend to look the other way from lies down deep

I open out my wings of glass
Up and towards the wind melted future
So just please don't go
Please don't go
Wanna be close to you
I'm now forgetting even the colors of your tears and love
So just please don't go
Please don't go
Holding on strong to what lies ahead

I bleed as my way of compensating everything to you
How heavy is blood?
Happiness and sadness lies too close

The hand of the child born tomorrow will be just pure and nothing else
I can barely see you with all these tears

I open out my wings of glass

Up and towards the wind melted future
So just please don't go
Please don't go
Wanna be close to you
I'm now forgetting even the colors of your tears and love
So just please don't go
Please don't go
Holding on strong to what lies ahead

The bells of reality rings out loudly from down deep within
And disappears along with all the wind

General Comment:It's a beautiful song, and actually my favorite song.

    'The merry-go-round playing alone.'

When I saw that part in the music video, It reminded me of how much it hurt as a kid, when you were the kid being picked on in the schoolyard.

'In the dark morning, I pretend the window to be a picture frame'

I believe this to be what he wanted life to be, the meaning of this, what he saw through the window was peaceful and tranquil. Maybe he wanted life to be what he saw through his eyes?

'I bleed as my way of compensating everything to you
    How heavy is blood?
Happiness and sadness lies too close'

I believe this part is, Maybe mutilation? Because, out of nowhere does something like this pop up. And, Maybe he'd hurt himself in longing to fit in? Or it could be metaphorically, and mean that he tries too hard to fit in, and in the end only hurts himself.

'There is a ferris wheel, where I can look down and see you from
The melody that just comes crumbling down is also so sweet and beautiful, it's frightening'

This could be retribution, where he finds out that Karma comes back around, and he is now looking down at the little people now. That his life is finnaly as he'd picture it to be..and it sometimes scares him.

'The shadow exposed by the sun is branded into my memory
and it touches my heart than any shallow words combined'

The shadow, Could also be his past. And his past keeps him going today.

Basically, a long story about 'what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger.'

General Comment:Well the song can mean anything to anyone but Kyo's already said "Glass Skin’s lyrics seem to be captured as a love song, but it really isn’t like that. If I were to put in a phrase, it’s about environmental problems without being too preachy, the deterioration, the evanescence; I wanted to express these qualities. I don’t want to get preachy or sing positively. It’s more of “having something positive within something that’s not positive.” I have that as my foundation. The view you see is different with something born from nothing comparing to seeing and creating something from destruction."

General Comment:I love this song! It is obviously about the end of a very meaningful relationship. It is about moving forward into the future after your heart has been broken.

General Comment:I now hold possession of the new album, Uroboros. It is their best work by par(and yes I do mean "par", not "far")I've heard two versions of this song, the single and the english version. Bittersweet and Ryuk88 have already hit the nail on the head on what it's about. To sum it all up, it's about a man who is mourning the loss of a relationship that was very dear to him, even though he didn't take it as such at first. So as his own personal penance, he barracides himself from the rest of society to reflect on the relationship he will never get back.

General Comment:Obviously the song is about the aftermath of an ended relationship.
    "The merry-go-round playing alone"
"emptier still than any tears of comedy"
"there is a ferris-wheel, where I can look down and see you from"

It sounds like they probably spent a lot of time having fun and joking around. Maybe the narrator didn't think that their relationship was a really serious one until they became seperated. Now he realizes how much he needs her.

Good song, the lyrics' quality is going back up. I always like how the lyrics imagery and symbolism give clues to the song's meaning.
