But I have been trying to remember what this song sounds like... The kinda metallic sounding bit that is almost in the background sometimes that is 4 notes of one pitch and then 4 of a lower one etc during the chorus.
If someone can remind me.....
to me, this song is all about two people who got together... but not in a full sense. perhaps they have emt and felt something immense... a connection. and although they perhaps both know that is could be amazing, there are reasons why it doesnt or couldnt work.
he knows she wants him, and the relationship. but at the same time, they both know it can't work. and the 'dont look back, dont pretend, that we'll ever take control again' to me suggests that whenever they meet, they can still feel it.
and that feeling will never change :)
but its the process of coming to terms with that feeling, and perhaps being gald that you experienced it :)
I first heard this song playing at my work and I instantly feel in love with it as well as Friendly Fires. They are incredible.
