    My Interpretation:I think generally people are over analyzing this as about nuclear war and U.S. politics, and other such things.

    My view is simpler, and probably easy for most people to relate to. I think this is basically a song of frustration, for numerous forms of bullshit. There's just so much manipulation and petty shit everywhere, you sometimes just want to destroy it all.

    It's very similar, I think, to Aenema by Tool. Just wanted a particular shithole of a city filled with millions of assholes to be destroyed. Aenema describes a desire to watch Los Angeles sink into the ocean, and be completely flushed away. This song shows a wish to watch it all burn to the ground (probably hollywood?). But, I think, the concept is the same.

    General Comment:i think this song is about nuclear war. why? because lines like "I will not die in the night, but in the light of the sun" people who have lived through bombings like hiroshima say it looked like the sun exploded. the skylights on top of the world being airplanes, dropping bombs. but i feel the whole song is about apocalyptic signs. saying its the end of the world and what not. just my oppinion

    General Comment:Honestly I would like to believe this is about the U.S. But I know this isn't the case. Anyway back to my point of view... the song describes the city burning the world which could be washington. They make all these guidlines so to speak for everyone to follow which then leads to war with other countries who we have dragged into our affairs and vise versa. This in itself has caused many uprisings from terrorist and so on which is leading our world into chaos. Which is where("let's watch the city burn the world") would come into play. And because of the many issues our government has had over the years they will eventually build up and lead to rebellion in many parts of the country which would be the cause of burning washington DC. Though this is just a random... well a well thought out random idea/point of view

    General Comment:this song i feel is about the collapse of society.... and how adults expect us new generation to fix everything that they have done wrong with this world but at the same time are reluctant to let us fix it. because what do we know we are just kids because we cant fix what they have done wed have to start over because they've fucked the world up so bad. so its easier to burn it down and start over. if you disagree then think about it this way this is how far society has fallen, when usama bin laden died we as americans were out celebrating.... the war is not over we had no reason to celebrate yet, i didnt like bin laden at all but it still bothers me that we celebrated over the death of a fellow human being.... its wrong

    General Comment:I dont think the meaning of this song is terrorism, or about society, I personally belive this song is about how the government is slowly killing the world.
    The "City" I think means "The united states" reason being "So now I pray to my nation
    Destroyed under God" is taken from "one nation under God"
    If you look around, our government has a long history of taking things that are not theirs.
    And this ranges from starting wars over oil to throwing people in prison for not just handing over their hard earned money (taxes)
