Lyrics for Young as interpreted by xdearvanity

Young Lyrics
[CHORUS]
We are young, but we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, but we dont belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

I see the children in the rain
like the parade before the pain
I see the love, I see the hate
I see this world that we can make
I see the life, I see the sky
Give it all to see you fly
Yes, we wave this flag of hatred
But you're the ones who made it
What's the beauty of all our lives
passing right before my eyes?
I hear the hate in all your words
All words to make us hurt
We get so sick, we're so sick
We never wanted all this
Medication for the kids
with no reason to live

So we march to the drums
of the damned as we come
Watch it burn in the sun
We are numb

[CHORUS]

As we walk among these shadows
In these streets, these fields of battle
Take it up, we wear the metal
Raise your hands with burning candles
Hear us whisper in the dark
In the rain you see the spark
Feel the beating of our hearts
Fleeting hope as we depart
All together, walk alone
against all we've ever known
All we've ever really wanted
was a place to call our home
But you take all we are
the innocence of our hearts
Made to kneel before the alter
as you tear us apart

So we march to the drums
of the damned as we come
Watch it burn in the sun
We are numb

[CHORUS]

We will fight (We will fight)
Or we will fall (We will fall)
'Till the angels save us all [x4]

[CHORUS x2]

let me say first off the people bitching about this song and the people that lik it back off. we all have enough shit to deal with wihout you bitching at us to. and this songs meaning isnt total anarchy its about the broken generation of teens today that have been through hell comeing together burning down the world and starting over. they talk about war they are saying they know no one wants war but if were going to fix this world we need to start a war and tear down the old world before we can build a new one. its meant to be a beacon of light to what i call the "outcast" generation" tell us that we need to stop all the hateing come together and fix the world we many have been robbed of our inesence by the world but we still have heart everyone of us is strong and we can fix the world.

My favorite HU song by far. I'm thinking of tattooing "We are young, but we have heart." It represents so many people so well.
I love it. It's not about setting apart from everyone else, it's about coming together to fix the mess that's been made. Or at least that's how I see it, I'm such an optimist.

But you take all we are the innocence of our hearts

amazing lyrics to explain the youth of today, and what a fucked up world the generation before have created for todays youth, to deal with, how they have to put it right in order to keep going, and it was never their fault. and they deal with it the way they wanna!!

it means the children of the world, are living in the bad dangorous world that the adults created.Yes, we are bad but the older people created it. It's their fault(We wave this flag of hatred, but you're the ones who made it). they try to blame us for everything but its really them. we never wanted to live a life like this, they forced us to live like this. they made us who we are... *tear* great song and great meaning

this reminds me of V for Vendetta, there is something terribly wrong with the world. What will it take for the governments to see past the differences in them selves and others or will it be t the edge of self destruction that we finally can work together without conflict?

this song reminds me of V for Vendetta, but there is something wrong with the world how we cant get pass simple differences in race nationality religion or what ever else. I think that once we're able to pass all of that, it'll be to late to save the world from our self destruction.

Ok, first of all, I LIKE the song in the sense that its good typical mainstream rock music, that has a good beat.

SECONDLY, the message itself SUCKS. Let me explain before everyone flips out. I can understand the feeling of being "unwanted" or not wanting a war (I am a 28 year old ex-special forces paratrooper veteran, I know war is not fun), but WHAT DO THEY OFFER? Just the idea of "fuck it"? "born in this world we don't belong" Well NO ONE belongs - no one ASKED to be born - like I said, I understand the teenage, and young adults wanting to lash out, and even that is fine, but WHAT DO YOU DO??? You don't like the world, or the way it has become (I think most would agree, save a lot of rich people) but what is their solution? To get mad, and do what? Burn stuff down? How would that make the world better? If you or people were serious, fucking assinate the leaders and make a change - but guess what - no one will, because no one wants to REALLY risk their lives to make a change, they want to sit back and bitch about it. Whether musically they are good or not is a different debate all together, but a lot of bands (almost all of them) are "fake". Unfortunately, there are only a few bands that pour out their true hearts, and are intelligent about it. Like I said, what do they offer? Anarchy? No government? No rules? I mean yeah the system SUCKS and is ALL SORTS of messed up, but how is burning things down going to accomplish anything, except scaring the "everyday" citizens, and raising already inflated prices. I DO LIKE THE SONG, but stop the whining, use your "talent" to actually DO SOMETHING. Its easy to get a bunch of people all worked up, but then what? just have an angry mob riot? All that will do is have the national guard come in, tear gas the hell out of people, arrest a lot of people - BUT NOTHING WILL CHANGE... As far as a statement what, a bunch of people wanted to "revolt" so they started trashing stuff... Um - ok...
Like I used to HATE Shinedown, the song of madness is ok, but that damn hailey's comet or whatever:
Tell my mother, tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realize,
This is my life.
I hope they understand,
I am not angry I am just saying...

Talk about a baby whining "I am sorry I didn't do what you want, but I am going to do what I want - you don't like it tough" whining about having done "the best they could" UGH...

I love this song. Never saw the video for it, but I could imagine, like others, a group of oppressed teens/kids marching through the streets just to have for voices heard. Which seems to be what our world is coming to...our government doesn't listen to us for the most part, nor does it seem to care.

Sadly, Hollywood Undead just isn't great outside of this song. They're not terrible, but if they had more songs like this (which wouldn't be their style) they'd be so much more. Oh well. I'll always have this song.

Such a powerful song with great lyrics

It's basically about how fucked up our world is and how we are only hanging on to our faith and how bad it is for kids being born into this day and age of greedy money hungery political slobs and in a world that's been living in war and poverty for too long now, and for them to have to be raised around all this makes it that much worse
But that's just a idea
I like the guys under me ideas better lol

HU ARMY!!!!!

I feel like the song is about how us younger people were born in the world at a bad time and the older people blame us for whats wrong with the world but there the ones that caused it and were forced to live in it.

Well, 2 things are for sure.
Everyone here is youth and their being lied to by someone.
Mostly by people that share the same beliefs as these losers.
This world is just fine. There are a few things wrong with it, such as the shitty third world counties that can be found from time to time. Other than that this is a great time to live. Less pollutants in the air, better technology, better games. The one drawback is that music is shittier and bands like this get famous for music that takes as much effort as I would put in for the songs that are not so good(which are still better than this crap!) that I have written. You can believe what you want, but the fact is that these guys are not that talented. As a serious musician and writer of progressive/technical Death metal, I can safely say this while knowing that no retard fanboy of this shitty band can prove me wrong.

Oh yeah, another drawback to living in this time period: Stupid people who think the world is becoming shit.

The meaning to this song, in my eyes, is pretty obvious. I would say it's about todays youth (the title Young suggests this). And how we were born in a time of distress, turmoil. And "I see the children in the rain, like the parade before the pain" - Suggests that the singer see's the children playing in the rain, happily (like in a parade), before the pain (fights?) hits them. The rest of it is self-explanitory. So in brief, HU merely touch on all the problems with todays society, and how they are put down for no reason; "But you take all we are, the innocence of our hearts. Made to kneel before the alter as you tear us apart.". As well as many other points in todays society, such as all the violence (especially here in the UK) on the streets at the moment; "In these streets, these fields of battle". It also describes how numb the teens are, and how they are unwanted in todays society, but above it all they will still keep going, with hope in their eyes.. they won't go without a fight; "We will fight (We will fight)". The song even touches on what youth do to overcome this, they act how everyone say's they are like; "Yes we wave this flag of hatred" then it gives reason WHY they hold it "but you're the ones who made it". Very powerful song; "Youths today, are put down. Have a wrong image. But, above it all, they stay strong; and put up with it".. for me, that's the meaning.

My favourite song of theirs so far.

This is a great song, inspiring and true in the fact that the current youth generation is unfortunately in an era of global turmoil, uncertainty and are forced with the incredible task of either taking action, or sitting on the sidelines for a change. We are all united right now in that mentality. Great anthem.

dont listen to a guy whos name is music1pwns. To anyone thinks this band is good, just cut off your dick now because there's no way you're going to be getting any poon in life. I also think godblessrockmusicians knows what music is more than I know what the inside of your moms vag looks like. In other words, he sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

Wow this is disgusting. They're rapping about how other people have made the world so horrible and violent but all thier other songs are about kicking faggots asses and fucking. If you actually like hollywood undead maybe you should discover the taste of your own urine because you seem easily amused.

"So we march to the drums
of the damned as we come
Watch it burn in the sun
We are numb

We are young, but we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, but we dont belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart"

!!!!!

Such words have never rang so true
Our forfathers have ruined this world. it is a cruel place to be. Can we fix it?

"We will fight (We will fight)
Or we will fall (We will fall)
'Till the angels save us all"

Even as I fall I will fight, this is our world! And we need to fight for it!

Abosolutely LOVE this song!

"We are young, but we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, but we dont belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart"

This part is nothing but truth. This entire song captured every aspect of our youths feelings. This world is falling apart adn its nothing but us, as humans, fault. Like the song says-
"I hear the hate in all your words
All words to make us hurt
We get so sick, we're so sick
We never wanted all this
Medication for the kids
with no reason to live"

We never wanted this.
