They had painted her face like a man's
Mistake,
Like a mental state
Gangbanging
A sad return to the eagle-shaped mirror
I'm the kind of mannequin that cheats and
Opens its eyes to the ladies of the spread

She took me home and spit in my drink
She spoke of Jermaine Grier and freedom I don't know what to think
I took her standing in the kitchen ass against the sink
She draped me in a stole
(what kind?) I think Malaysian mink
She threw me out into the snow; I waited for the bus
Up come some values voters screaming, 'are you one of us'
I said of course man, can't you see I've got some text reconstruction?
(What does that mean?)
No clue
It must be an illicit pentagram
(What are you talking about?)
No clue

I check my shutter speed, my aperture, my domino
Can't focus, can't stop staring at the face I used to know
This life is not a prison: we are always free to go, anytime

Chinese stars, Chinese stars, Chinese stars at the rock said the rock Chinese stars

I'm trying to interface
You met me at such a dismal point on the arc
I think I understand what you were saying
About the smiles of the skulls
The spastic face was the last one
Our luck was white
I read it with my head open,
Only slightly cracked
Someone will have to close it when I'm done
Make the most out of the visuals
While walking through the woods
I noticed someone had built a house for nobody in particular

They want to destroy us
(I know)
It's time to penetrate, their fantasy

is probably a shout-out to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/… ; that woman in the John Waters discography.

    lyrics are fantastically rich.

General Comment:The mention of Germaine Greer is interesting, given her awful opinion of trans-gendered women, a subject near and dear to this album.

General Comment:It's "no BIRD in particular", which is the genius of it.

Love, love, LOVE this song. This and Eluardian Instance (and Triphallus) are the best songs on Skeletal, though the whole album is brilliant and I've been listening to it for about 3 weeks straight.

I love how it has so many different parts and they flow into each other so organically even though they sound so different. (True of both the album and Women's Studies Victims.)

Also I think it's "syntax DEconstruction" which would go along with the pomo-speak mockery - especially because women's studies is often concerned with Barthes etc.

General Comment:i think chinese stars is referring to a fiasco in china where children made oragami stars in school and they were percieved to be weapons for plotting against their teachers and authority

General Comment:Going back to what someone said before this, Eagle shaped mirror was going to be the name of the song "bunny ain't no kind of rider"

So maybe he is going back to the eagle shaped mirror AKA His time with Eva.
Maybe this is a recollection of that night he spent with her, since "He cheats and opens his eyes" and him trying to get home while tripping on ecstasy, and the crushing guilt that followed

General Comment:the song, like most of the lamping songs, goes with another--
you say venus in furs? have you heard the previous of montreal 'vegan in furs'? there we go, connect the dots =]

'chinese stars, chinese stars, chinese stars, my cuz had the raw chinese stars'
^ could be a reference to ecstasy; ("to make the most out of the visuals") , chinese symbol/star pills
    yum
