Lyrics for And I've Seen a Bloody Shadow as interpreted by IndieKid1977

And I've Seen a Bloody Shadow Lyrics
Turning tricks on the hood of Jasmine's car
That whole summer was really just too peculiar
You know I would have given it up to almost anybody
Who had a little money and was sweet to me
Yes, I was down to give it up to almost anyone
Who was sweet to me

It was rough, we had to crawl down to the basement
For to hide from this digital wolf
He had no eyes but he could see
Using electric rays
Biting the prick that feeds me in my sister's bathroom
How can I function, man
In the face of all this butchery?
My mind is exploding with sloppy murders
And they really poison my sexuality
How can I function?
There's no more Appolonian beauty to behold

Lille Venn, my heart is not dead
It's just bad weather in my temporary head
In my temporary head

Momma, my heart's not dead
It's just bad weather in my temporary head

"Lille venn" is Norwegian, and means "little friend". Just another norwegian word that Kevin uses in so many other song! Hurrah for Norway!

I definitely hear some Rolling Stones in the first three lines, followed by a Freddie Mercury-ish sounding "You know I would have given it up to almost anybody"

The Queenest part of this song is "And they really poison my sexuality"

My lyric understandability really sucks! Even though I'm Norwegian, I didn't understand that he said "lille venn" in this song, I just read it on the board for Death is not a parallell move. I thought he said "Linda Vanderheart is not dead", and figured that was a real or fictional 50's pin-up girl or something :P

Wooh... I was surprised to see that Mercury-Stones link being brought up here, because for me there's so much Bob Dylan in the verse and the rest of it sounds really like David Bowie in the 70's. Great track!
