You’ve got the money and the heartache
And the rest just turns to dust before I get to you
And I always do
I never forget you
Little Wondergirl
You’ve got a hand up in the window
Like the baseball bat lying next to your bed
To protect yourself
Oh but its such a joke
A silly dream
My, my, my, my, my, my
Your body is a board
A rusty bag of nails
Lying by the sea
Your skin is slipping off
The seaweed and urchins
Feed on your bones
Your body is a board
A rusty bag of nails
Lying by the sea
Your skin is slipping off
The seaweed and urchins
Feed on your bones
You’ve got some big plans for your nice house
And some good friends you’ve got
A lot to live for
You even have health insurance
Oh what a bore
You could have so much more
You’ve got your head looked out the window
Through the curtains like I couldn’t see you
But of course I do
I never forget you
I’m your only friend
My, my, my, my, my, my
Your body is a world
As deep as it gets
Laying by the sea
Your skin is slipping on
The seaweed and urchins
Bleeding on your clothes
And the rest just turns to dust before I get to you
And I always do
I never forget you
Little Wondergirl
You’ve got a hand up in the window
Like the baseball bat lying next to your bed
To protect yourself
Oh but its such a joke
A silly dream
My, my, my, my, my, my
Your body is a board
A rusty bag of nails
Lying by the sea
Your skin is slipping off
The seaweed and urchins
Feed on your bones
Your body is a board
A rusty bag of nails
Lying by the sea
Your skin is slipping off
The seaweed and urchins
Feed on your bones
You’ve got some big plans for your nice house
And some good friends you’ve got
A lot to live for
You even have health insurance
Oh what a bore
You could have so much more
You’ve got your head looked out the window
Through the curtains like I couldn’t see you
But of course I do
I never forget you
I’m your only friend
My, my, my, my, my, my
Your body is a world
As deep as it gets
Laying by the sea
Your skin is slipping on
The seaweed and urchins
Bleeding on your clothes

life n death, nature imagery, a pop song in a minor key
very sweet song. love these guys they put on a killer show every time
The girl in the song is living a normal suburban life but she cannot escape the ever present and inevitable arrival of her death no matter what she does. She also cannot escape her own suffering (dukkha). She shouldn't try to run away from that though, in fact, awareness of her mortality is her 'only friend' because as Alan Watts says "the contemplation of death (and the acceptance of death) is very highly regenerative to creative life".
Finally I see the chorus "Your body is a corpse A rusty bag of nails Lying by the sea Your skin is slipping off The seaweed and urchins Feeding on your bones" as a sort of mantra anyone can use as a meditation on death. Just as Buddhist monks imagine their own bodies in various forms of decay while in meditation.

it is obviously a little creeperish. and when it says "you have a baseball bat next to your bed, to protect yourself, oh but its such a joke", that could mean the girl thinks she is being stalked and is trying to protect herself, but her stalker (who is singing the song) knows she doesn't have a chance. possibly the chorus about the sea urchins and such refer to her impending death by the stalker. when he says "you could have so much more", he may be talking about himself. and throughout the song there it shows that he obviously thinks a lot of this girl- "ill never forget you", "my littlewondergirl", and "your body is the world".
I believe this song is about a girl who takes her life for granted, wishing for something more thrilling, and in doing so she's become blind to the goodness around her. She's well off (You've got the money) but depressed (And the heartache), probably due to wishing for a more exciting life.
Evidence of her wishing for a better life is pretty clear- She keeps a baseball bat by her head, to ward off any attackers or rapists, even though that's incredibly unlikely (Oh but it's such a joke, a silly dream). She's got "Big plans for your nice house, and some good friends" She's got a lot to live for, but to her it's a bore, because her life could be so much more exciting in her eyes. She could be a pop singer! And she neglects the boy who cares for her, the singer of the song.
Starfucker as a rule tends to have an obsession with death (They have a song titled Death is a Fetish), hence the chorus being about her rotting by the sea. She won't realized what she's missed out on until it's far too late.
And the rest just turns to dust before I get to you
And I always do
I never forget you
Little Wondergirl
You've got a hand up in the window
Like the baseball bat lying next to your bed
To protect yourself
Oh but its such a joke
A silly dream
My, my, my, my, my, my,
[Chorus x2]
Your body is a corpse
A rusty bag of nails
Lying by the sea
Your skin is slipping off
The seaweed and urchins
Feeding on your bones
You've got some big plans for your nice house
And some good friends
You're got a lot to live for
You even have health insurance
Oh what a bore
You could have so much more
You've got your head looked out the window
Through the curtains like I couldn't see you
But of course I do
I never forget you
I'm your only friend
My, my, my, my, my, my,
[Chorus]
"Oh but its such a joke" instead of "Oh but its such a joy"
& My "Little Wondergirl" instead of Little Wondergirl
& Your skin is slipping off the seaweed and urchins feed on your bones instead of Your skin is slipping on the seaweed and urchins feed on your bones. and there are a few more that don't sound right.
and the rest just turns to dust before I get to you
and I always do I never forget you my little wondergirl
you got a hand up in the window like the baseball bat
lyin’ next to your bed, to protect yourself
oh but it’s such a joke, silly dream
my, my, my, my, my,
your body is a board,
a rusty bag of nails
lyin’ by the sea.
Your skin is slippin’ off
the seaweed and urchins feed on your bones.
your body is a board,
a rusty bag of nails
lyin’ by the sea.
Your skin is slippin’ off
the seaweed and urchins
feed on your bones.
You got some big plans
for your nice house.
And some good friends.
You’ve got a lot to live for.
You even have health insurance.
OH what a bore.
You could have so much more
You got your head looked
out the curtains
like I couldn’t see you
But of course I do
I never forget you
I’m your only friend
your body is a board,
a rusty bag of nails
lyin’ by the sea.
Your skin is slippin’ off
the seaweed and urchins
feed on your bones.
It's
"oh but it's such a joke"
and
"your body is a corpse
a rusty bag of nails
laying by the sea"
