I'm keeping quiet til there's no more sirens
Lately it's hard to keep the hinges on with all the noise
I'll find my words when there's no one talking
The room is spinning, I have got no choice
Be patient, I am getting to the point.

I can't remember when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited with the lights turned out again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I've found my way, but until then
I'm only spinning

I'm keeping quiet til the phone stops ringing
Lately it's hard to disconnect, I just want something real
I've found the words if I could just stop thinking
The room is spinning, I have got no choice
Be patient, I am getting to the point.

I can't remember when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited with the lights turned out again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I've found my way, but until then
I'm only spinning

Spin beneath the rooftop
Hold on, wait until the room stops
Spinning

I can't remember when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited with the lights turned out again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I've found my way, but in the end
We're only spinning

I keep forgetting when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited til the lights come on again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I've found my way, but until then
I'm only spinning

Spinning
Spinning

General Comment:i think this song is the one andrew says features stacy clark, that's probably why it's different. i say this song is about a car wreck or something, but to be quite frank, i have no idea what it means. i love it, though

General Comment:The lyrics of this song don't stir much in me but it's beautiful nonetheless. Everything Andrew writes and sing is truly amazing. I love how this song is a little different from the usual JM stuff. It's slightly upbeat and I love how his voice sounds in it. I like listening to it in the morning, always feels like a start to a great day!

General Comment:I fell in love with this song the instant I heard it. Usually I need to break new songs in before I really connect with it, but this just stole my heart.

Because I know of Andrew's experience w/ cancer, I tend to connect a lot of his lyrics to it when I read them. But if I try to interpret the song with that information disconnected from my mind, I really don't get that from this song.

It actually seems a little bit more generic than that. It seems to represent a sensation of being overwhelmed by emotion, particularly negative. He seems to be talking about shutting down, pulling into himself. Trying to just get away from all the noise and abrasiveness of Western Civilization: sirens; telephones; lights; buildings.

Just laying there, trying to figure out where he's going in life ("I've lost my place, but I can't stop this story"), with his eyes closed, feeling the Earth rotate beneath him.

General Comment:this song is not about one specific thing i think he is just writting when he is in a really good mood or her
he is intoxicated when he wrote this song i cant rememeber when the air turned slowly spin belith the roof top
they are saying that he is intoxicated and he is in a good mood when he was writing this song and he wants
to know or he could be talking about the last to albums cause he knows that it is diffrent
"i lost my place, but i cant stop this story" he is talking about diffrent things in both albums
everything in transit was a more reblius 21 year old andrew writting what he though about well everythign
this album is ment to just cheer everyone up!

General Comment:My favorite song in the whole album.

It reminds me of when i confessed to this guy. I describe it as "the world turning slowly" and everyone around me just being too loud. And i told him "Wait...." because i was going to tell him something.....After all my "um"s and "uhh"s, i said it. I heard this song for the first time and that scene came to my mind....

General Comment:i cant listen to any song off of this album without thinking of myself in a hospital bed....this song is pretty direct. Of course I cant relate to andrew but its a starting point for meanings. Anyone who has ever had a "night of excess" has had a room spin on them....I can only assume he is drugged up and the room is spinning. Turning the lights out to settle down, not remembering when the earth turned slowly, just him saying hes been on medication for a while. I kinda think this song might be about him not having a choice in taking pain meds (<---another assumption) but being frustrated with not being able to be function normally. Hence the verse:

I'm keeping quiet til the phone stops ringing
Lately it's hard to disconnect, I just want something real
I've found the words if I could just stop thinking
The room is spinning, I have got no choice
Be patient, I am getting to the point.

    just my interpretation.
