My lover, I've been donating
Time to review
All the misinterpretations
That define me and you

I'm thinking about you
In my secret language
Because I know you're the only one
Who can help me take it easy

Now I'm happy in the head
Knowing there ain't no sucker in the world
That's a threat to us
But we've become material

It's like, hey, you were always there
Just on the tip of my tongue
And I needed you to happen, yeah

And now that you've happened
And it really, really, really came true
I feel like I ought to thank somebody
So I'm going to thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you

So I'm calling your ass up
At like three in the morning
Saying, "Wake up, young dragon
Let's go get compromised
You'll be my little ally
And you can huddle which way you choose"

Now I'm so bugged out by your paradigm kisses
How I've acted out southern hemispherical
And the gods know, cracking my sweet love
I'm cracking my sweet love
I'm cracking my sweet love
I'm cracking my sweet love

General Comment:This song, and this whole album, is certainly based on Georgie Fruit, but the songs are also definitely multi-dimensional and autobiographical, of course.

General Comment:I think this was the first of Montreal song I ever heard. I wasn't really into their style of music at the time - might've been Barnes' vocal style that kept me away from them for so long. It was, and is, the crashing instrumental part of this song that I love...it sounds AWFUL for so long (the kind of song you could never show your friends) but then the bass comes in, and then the last repeating line (which, for those of you who asked earlier, as it's not up in the lyric text, I hear as:) "I can't fall asleep so I'm thinking about you instead."

But honestly, to have such...aural euphoria emerge from the grating sounds of like 2:05 onwards is amazing. Close my eyes. Throw myself against a wall.

General Comment:I think this song is about when you first fall for someone that you've known for a long time.

"you were always there just on the tip of my tongue"

Meaning i've had feelings for you for a while and just decided to tell you

"now Im happy in the head knowing their ain't no sucker in the world that's a threat to us"

he's so happy he can finally have this girl for good, and that no other guy will try to be with her now

"and now that you've happened, i mean really really really came true I fell like I ought to thank somebody"

    he's grateful for her love.

I love of Montreal and this song! Its really cute and romantic. ;D

General Comment:I'm siding with the whole Georgie Fruit taking over idea here. It makes a lot of sense when you think of the album in full. ( :

General Comment:I think the best part is the shift from sweet little pop thing to noise rock explosion to strangely effective Beach Boys/Person Pitch homage.

General Comment:I've got my Georgie Fruit on
    He's my dark mutation
    For my demented past time
    Giving replicators somewhere to go

-Labyrinthian Pomp (Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?)

    Just getting that out there.

General Comment:That's odd... This has always been called Nonpareil of Wisdom on my computer!
Anyway, I heard these other lyrics in the song whilst listening to the song. I also noticed that when they played the song at latitude Kevin was singing the lyrics to it, but I don't remember any of them!
I think he also had some extended lyrics on the song Id Engager at the same show

General Comment:I know it's not in the official version of the lyrics, but he's definitely saying things from 4:50 to the end of the song... can anyone figure out what?

General Comment:And I don't know if the second part of lyrics "so I'm calling your ass up..." is from Georgie's perspective. It might be just Kevin calling him out to write what he needs to write. Not sure at all thoguh.
