Someone has sewn me shut
And tied me to a bed
They locked me up, locked me up
Oh, God!

This is where they all
Throw me to the wolves
Dragged behind and trampled on
I can't keep clawing at the jaws of hell
The silence is killing me

Nothing to calm the nerve
Nothing to calm the nerve
Write down my thoughts
And read me my rights
Repeat, repeat, repent and repeat

The cycle never really ends
Till they admit that it's real
The cycle never really ends
Till they admit, they admit that it's real

Everything, everything is leaving me wondering
I hate that I'm questioning everything, everything

This is how it seems to me
I've drowned myself in self-regret
This is how I wanna be
This can't be how I wanna be

This is spinning perfect little circles
And that's all that they know
They just spin in perfect little circles
And that's all that they know, all that they know

[Repeat x3]
Nothing's right, just left alone
Sinking in will be just fine
None of them will ever know
None of them will ever know

General Comment:everythin said makes sense but it seems to be quite obvious its about drug addiction and struggling to break dependency and relapse....right away he talks about being sown up and tied to a bed being locked up and thrown to the wolves...a frequent technique used to break someone of a chemical depency...lock ya in a room keep ya in bed an ya go through hell depending on how serious the addiction may be...but ya really have no choice but to come down en get through it all...then i believe he's referring going through relapse an being in denial of addiction and dependency...and how you can't really break it until you come to terms with it and realize you have a problem and that it needs to be fixed and that you need help...but thats jus my take nevertheless great song

General Comment:everything said previous sounds legit, but to me it still sounds like it could be about addiction and going cold turkey with drugs and the withdrawels you get from that. Reminds me of that scene in the movie transpotting when the main character goes cold turkey, they put him on a bed and lock him in his room and he starts losing it. But it still def could be the other stuff too. All in all awesome album, in my opinion its the best they put out ever.

General Comment:i don't think he's attacking atheists at all.
    i think he's ridiculing catholics,
or religious people of the sort.
people who think they can just sin and sin then repent and everything is fine.
this song may be sung in more than one viewpoint.
    some parts the sinner's,
and some being the the writer's.
this is coming from an atheist,
    mind you.
    for all i know,
his writing could be as biased as most of the people on here think it is.

General Comment:Ahh, I meant to type questioning, not contemplating. They need an edit button.

General Comment:I'm still contemplating whether he's singing "I hate that I'm contemplating; you're everything" (two separate statements) or if he's singing "I hate that I'm questioning your everything" (one statement).

The first would imply that he's upset that he has doubts; his faith is true and there's nothing bigger in life than faith.

The second would imply that he's questioning everything about his faith and questioning everything regarding what he believes in; everything might be a lie and everything he may have been living for has been false.

General Comment:this whole album is way dope... personally i think this songs about questioning his faith "I hate that I’m questioning You’re everything" i think this whole album is actually about the questioning of ones own faith..

General Comment:thanks to alexunder1oath, he has opened my mind when he was talking about a fault line and he compared it to whom it may concern. i thought "hey, they mention that the cycle never really ends, and in to whom it may concern they say end cycle."
    anyone find a relation?
