its five o'clock in the morning
conversation got boring
you said you're going to bed soon
so i snuck off to your bedroom
i thought i'd just wait there
until i heard you come up the stairs
pretended i was sleeping
i was hoping you would creep in with me
put your arm around my shoulder
it was good, til it got colder
we moved closer in, together
and started talking about the weather
said tomorrow would be fine
we could watch a place in the sun
i didn't know where this was going
and you kissed me

are you mine? are you mine?
cause i stay here all the time
watching telly, drinking wine
who'd of known? who'd of known?
when you flash up on my phone
i no longer feel alone
no longer feel alone

havent left you for days now
i'm becoming amazed how
you're quite affectionate in public
infact, your friend said it made her feel sick
and even now its moving forward
its just the right amount of awkward
and today, you accidentally called me baby

are you mine? are you mine?
cause i stay here all the time
watching telly, drinking wine
who'd of known? who'd of known?
when you flash up on my phone
i no longer feel alone
let's just stay, let's just stay
i wanna lay in bed all day
we'll be laughing all the way

told your friends, they all know
we exist, but we're taking it slow
lets just see how it goes
now, lets see how it goes

let's just stay, let's just stay
i wanna lay in bed all day
we'll be laughing all the way
told your friends, they all know
we exist, but we're taking it slow
lets just see how we go
now, lets see how we go

General Comment:The meaning is quite obvious. SHe tries to figure if she and her friend are moving from friends to couple or staying there (are you mine? are you mine?) asking. it also says how beautiful it seems when you're in that situation but also how awkward it becomes :) anyway it's a beautiful song..i love it.

General Comment:as cute as this song may be, if you watch the film clip, it's actually about how she is 'in love' or rather obsessed with Elton John and she stalks him then ends up kidnapping him and makes him call someone else to say that he (elton john) is in fact in love with lily allen. I don't know who he's talking i just know it's a she and is obviously his former lover. It's quite an interesting yet disturbing film clip but yeah cute as it may be it's not about two friends or two people who have recently come together and fallen in love lol sorry to spoil your fantasies

General Comment:Describes my situation perfectly right now.

"I didn't know where this was going, then you kissed me..."
"And even though it's moving forward, it's just the right amount of awkward."
"And today you accidentally called me baby."

General Comment:To me, this song seems like her best guy friend fell for her and she sorta liked him too. The casual conversation at the beginning, the late night, the casual cuddling she was expecting, all lead me to beleive they are best friends but then he just kissed her. Now she's feeling a little uncertain about what all this is cus she's trying to determine if there's sparks, or if he's still just a friend, and what to tell their friends, and all that stuff. She's also wondering if that kiss means they're together now or what. The line 'it's just the right amount of awkward. And today, you accidently called me baby' sounds very new-relationship-y. It's still a bit weird (esp cus they're friends and such) but they're progressing and he obviously likes you (hence the 'baby'). She's feeling giddy and stuff that this is all working out and he actually likes /her/. When she's with him she's happy and feels safe and what not but she's still a tad bit hesitant. I love the last sorta part:

Told your friends, they all know
we exist, but we're taking it slow
lets just see how it goes
now, lets see how it goes

Perfect to describe a new love/relationship thing. The uncertainty but also the pride. The want to have people know, but also the awkwardness of people knowing (esp if you break up). But she's happy with some people knowing that they are a couple, but it's still new, light, fun, and flirty and that no one knows what'll happen but that they'll deal with that when it happens ('let's see how it goes'). Cus all she knows right now, is that with him, she feels whole

This is a great song for the in-between of friendship to relationship. It's just a pretty song.

General Comment:This song is an absolute jewel when you're in love , just starting something. I can relate and it feels sickly good.

But besides my biased opinion, it's a really good song, perfect single to be, one of the best in the album, it stands out.
