I try to make it through my life
In my way, there's you
I try to make it through these lies
And that's all I do

Just don't deny it
Don't try to fight this and deal with it
And that's just part of it
If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care

I try to make you see my side
I always try to stay in line
But your eyes see right through
That's all they do

I'm getting buried in this place
I got no room, you're in my face
Don't say anything just go away

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care

Love changing everything, you won't be left for me
Love changing everything, you won't be left for me

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care (I don't care) I don't care (I don't care)
Just go and leave this all behind
I don't care (I swear) I don't care
At all

when i heard this song for the first time i listen to each word and i really believe that he is not able to deal with anymore bullshit.... When i listen to this song it reminds me i can be strong and just forget about my dad...... i dont care about him and i never will and i hear this song and i think that every word adam sings is away to help me heal.... his words are strong... and life is hard and u can only try so hard but when u try hard its never good enough... there is always lies and bullshit... thinking about everything and if u dont care there is no way for you to keep getting hurt.... and all u wanna do is live a life of being free and without anything.... everything u do effects u in some way and if u dont care then u will never know the pain. trying to live through pain is hard and there is always something u turn to. whether it be self harm, drinking, drugs, or prostitution u are trying to get over the pain by treating urself like shit so u forget the pain.....the sooner u honestly and truely dont care is the day ull realize everything and that its not worth living ur life caring about things that hurt u or cause u pain. the soooner u really dont care about it the sooner ull be free

I think it means that no matter how hard he tries for her, she will not listen or give him a chance. like no matter what he tells her. How he would do anything for her and she just will not give him a chance. she wants him to change for her but wont do anything for him or have anything to do with him until he does. so he's saying hell with it

This song is sooo flippin' awesome!!!!! It kicks some major ass! I also think it is about some girl not letting him live life to the fullest, but if you look at a bigger picture, it could be about anyone not letting you live life to the fullest. I think Adam sings this song beautifully! His voice is just so pure and gets the point across well! Amazing song!

I think there was a girl that he was happy with...then she wasn't the same anymore and things changed. I mean...he says "If you were dead or still alive" implies that there once was something good. Now he's just done with her shit and doesn't want to deal with it. I actually think in this song he's partially trying to convince himself that he doesn't care because he keeps repeating it... Then at the end he really just knows he needs to move on and live his life. I love this song and hope I was close :)

When I originally heard this song, I thought it was about a neglected or abandoned son talking to and about his father. In the first verse(s), he sounds as though he's referring to the coping process of the problems that came as a result of not having his dad around. The chorus was him telling his father, wherever he was, that he didn't need him anyway, and that he didn't care whatever happened to him.

The verses before the bridge sounded like an actual confrontation that might have taken place either before the father left, or when the boy was older, and he had to come to terms with the fact that they'd never have a relationship...

This is all a huge stretch, and the 'boyfriend pissed at his girlfriend' idea makes much more sense when you actually sit down and read the lyrics. But I thought I'd drop my two cents anyway.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
