Wow, I really like this song.
As far as the song meaning goes, pretty obvious. Some girl broke this guy's heart and he's basically saying she does it with ease like she's a pro at it.

This song's pretty catchy. I'm not sure if it's just me, but there's fewer verses in Anberlin's new CD, and instead there are more choruses. Breathe only has a couple of different lines...
Maybe it is just me.

Easy meaning. Boy likes girl. A lot. Girl suddenly breaks up with boy. Boy is sad.

I agree with singxlouder. I'm sure of it. when i heard this song it instantly connected to me. It's about a girl that tells people she loves them. then she "falls in love" with some other guy and cheats on the old one. Now hes calling her out on her bullshit. It's amazing how you can find songs that connect so much to whats happening in your life... I love this song

This song really is just amazing to me, something happened to me that feels just like this song. let meput a story with this song to make it make more sense..... this is a true story of a girl that touched and destroyed the hearts of 5 people including myself in the span of 2 years. She was dating my friend (we'll call him Rob) when i first met her, it was an online relationship and a few months went by and she disclosed not to rob but to me and myother friend (lets call him Chris) that the name she had given Rob was fake and she was not a 19 year old going into the military but instead was a 17 year old. when Rob found out he tried to cope with it but in the end he broke it off with her. However she had already planted the seed and began talking with me and Chris more seriously and at the same time she seduced both of us. I was the one knowing that she was with Chris as well...I know i was a terrible person and to make things worse i was cheating on my girlfriend as well who i was also in a long distance relationship with. after the whole mess that happened with that i couldnt stand doing it anymore after going to visit my girlfriend and becoming closer ( i now have moved out to be with my girlfriend who is now my fiance on the opposite side of the country) eventually her and Chris broke up although she painted a huge story to all of us that Chis was still after her when she was not wanting him to be but she had invited him all thewhile and was telling us all an elaborate story. Chris took a downward spiral and is now in prison for reasons i'd rather not even mention. she then moved on to my friend George (again not his real name of course) and they dated for a good 6 months and he let go of some of his base morals that he had always promised to keep until marriage all because she caught him in her web. all of us were brought in and our hearts broken...yes it definitely seems as though she's done this before....sorry for spilling out some personallife for you but this is the summary of the song as seen in our lives.

i think this song is about a girl who's been so hurt before and now she's taking it out on every guy she dates because she cant get over how the first/previous one hurt her. its like "before-i-started-breaking-hearts-somebody-broke-mine" kind of thing. sad but it happens.

lord...can you say story of my life?

just like alot of people alot of people have already said, i think this song is about a girl who had her heart broken and now has a personla vendetta against all the guys she dates in the future. and the guy singing is one of those guys. and this girl doesnt care that she hurts him. he's just another boy to get her "revenge."

ya this is exactly what i seem to be going through lately. but not one girl in particular...it seems like EVERY girl ive liked or dated has built me up just to bring me down. like theyre all just trying to get their "revenge" on the guy who did them wrong in the past, and i'm caught in the crosshairs.

damn good song. one of my favorites by them. new cd kicks ass

All I have to say is that this entire situation is a tangled web. I know a girl who does this to guys because a guy did it to her. And the guy who did it to her had it done to him by a previous girl, so he goes around seducing women to break their hearts. It's sick, sick, sick, but it's somewhat understandable when someone is flat out messing with your head just because they can.

This Song Just started to relate to me about 15 minutes ago and i've heard this song since it came out on the album. well I liked the girl and she liked me back but now she likes a guy that she used go out with. and she told the guy (which is my friend) and he told me that she is just gonna break up with me like that with no feelings. any connections to the song?

Awesome song.

I just don't get this one line:

"You've got breaking hearts all but down"

It doesn't make sense.
If she breaks hearts over and over again,
then she should have breaking hearts down, right??
It's confusing me. :P
