  Memory:This song fits my love situation right now. There's this guy that lives far away from me, and we both love each other, but he's 18 and I'm 17, so we can't be together legally. We then decided to be close friends. I later got my current boyfriend, but I can't stop thinking about my friend. I saved the messages he sent me on Facebook, even the one where he confessed he loved me, and he helps me with the problems i go through everyday. The lyrics "I still hold on to the letters you returned' and 'you help me live and learn' fit perfectly with my love life.

But the greatest thing about music is no matter what it's truly about, it can have so many different meanings. It can be depicted in any way possible. And in Brent's words, "it is not biast."

  General Comment:This is one of my favourite Shinedown songs next to "Sound of Madness". I love the drum solo at the start of the song and the guitar is awesome! The lyrics are awesome and the chrous gets to me every time.

  My Opinion:To me this song is a letter of wishing that the other person knew just how much they love them. And how "if you only knew" that no matter what they will always love you. This is me and my current boyfriend of 2 1/2 years song. I don't think that it has to be to someone that you are no longer with, because I give this to my boyfriend in saying that "I'd sacrifice my beating heart
  Before I lose" him. I couldn't lose him. He is "the only thing I still believe in" and we have both literally woken up at 4:03 unable to sleep without each other. So I think it is a song to the one you are with but also if you want it to be, a song to the one you lost

  General Comment:this song has to be about two people who are in love but then drew apart. eventhough the obvious might suggest its like some sought of a long distance relationship, it really could be about a love that's lost its spark. i think one of the lovers has grown apart and the other notices this and speaks of how they miss what they were and hate that they've drawn apart, and he expresses how his love for her still exists, and that he still believes in what they had.

  My Opinion:I honestly don't see how this song could be based off of anything other than a breakup. Those of you insisting it's about his son should seriously take a look at the lyrics. Half of the depictions in this song are completely unlike a parent-child relationship.
  
  She left. He was heart broken. He wants her to KNOW how much he actually cared about her and how much he still DOES care about her. If she only knew how much he loved her, how painful it was to have her gone, than maybe she'd change her mind.

  You can definetly tell that the man loves the woman with everything he's got and he can't even picture his life without her.
  This song means so much to me because this is me and my boyfriends song. I can't even and don't even wanna picture my life without him. Before we dated he sent this song to me and that's how it became our song. Amazing band= amazing song!
