I think this song is about a couple where the girl is so happy she's with the guy and the guy is kinda like "whatever". And it seems as though the girl is confronting the guy about it.

I love this song!

I can totally relate to this song.

I'm wondering why in the video Katie starts off waking up in a hospital bed and escaping from hospital.
The song is quite sad, like as if she's only recently admitted to herself that he hasn't been taking much interest in things between them. She was besotted by love too much to notice his indifference.

I agree. I think it's about a girl who loves her boyfriend and realized that the feelings don't seem to be mutual. I think everyone can relate to that. I know I can.

i can totally relate to it.
i've been the one putting the effort in and trying to make it work,
and my boyfriend just sits back and watches me try to work things around him.

on a brighter note, i love this song.
i had it stuck in my head all the time on this nice trip i just came back from,
so this seems to be the soundtrack of my trip & brings back the memories. :)

you're thinking about the person and you know you love them it doesn't matter if you don't show it but she disagrees, she thinks he's just making up excuses not to be loving and affectionate towards her.

Yeah, I don’t wanna be the one - She is saying she doesn't want to be the only one trying in the relationship and she doesn't want to seem desparate and be 'the one' that's really into it if he isn't.

So make sure you’re thinking it through,

Offer me something I know you really meant - She is trying to tell the man that when he says he'll try he needs to really do it and to stop breaking his promises and show he loves her.

to me this song is defintely about a relationship. and maybe it's because it plays at the place i work and that is also where the person i like is at. it's not about a boyfriend/girlfriend dynamic YET it's that weird, awkward, period between dating and a relationship. do we wanna pursue this or what?

she's tired of being the one who's happy about where this could go, tired of being the pursuer. and it's like everytime she's about to pull away he does something no matter how small that pulls her right back in hence the "what cha gonna offer now?"

then there's the ending part where she says "this was not my idea, don't you keep me waiting" perfect example at the beginning of whatever this was with him he was the initator, she didn't start it and she doesn't want to be in "limbo" with him.

i dont know i think a lot of my analysis is more what this song is to my situation but i think that it makes sense. by FAR my favorite song on the cd!

This song seems to reflect the rest of the album- very much about their foray into the music business. I think it's all about the relationship with the record label. They're "making all the noise" and get excited and into it, yet the label says, "Eh, we aren't so sure about it". I think the entire album reflects the actual experience of making the album and the tension between the label and band.
