Sha, sha, sha

I probably shouldn't say this
But at times I get so scared
When I think about the previous
Relationship we shared
It was awesome, but we lost it
It's not possible for me not to care
And now we're standing in the rain
But nothing's ever gonna change until you hear
My dear

The seven things I hate about you
The seven things I hate about you
Oh, you
You're vain, your games, you're insecure
You love me, you like her
You made me laugh, you made me cry, I don't know which side to buy
Your friends, they're jerks, when you act like them, just know it hurts
I wanna be with the one I know
And the seventh thing I hate the most that you do
You make me love you

It's awkward and it's silent
As I wait for you to say
But what I need to hear now your sincere apology
When you mean it, I'll believe it, if you text it I'll delete it
Let's be clear
Oh, I'm not coming back
You're taking seven steps here

The seven things I hate about you
You're vain, your games, you're insecure
You love me, you like her
You made me laugh, you made me cry, I don't know which side to buy
Your friends, they're jerks, when you act like them, just know it hurts
I wanna be with the one I know
And the seventh thing I hate the most that you do
You make me love you

And compared to all the great things
That would take too long to write
I probably should mention
The seven that I like

The seven things I like about you
Your hair, your eyes, your old Levi's
When we kiss, I'm hypnotized
You made me laugh, you made me cry, but I guess that's both I'll have to buy
Your hand in mine when we're intertwined, everything's alright
I wanna be with the one I know
And the seventh thing I like the most that you do
You make me love you

Sha, sha, you do, ohh, ooh
La, la, la
Ooh, ooh

i heard that this is about nick jonas, but if it is, what's wrong with that? i mean, i absolutely love nick jonas but it doesn't mean i have to hate miley cyrus. she seems loud, yeah, but i think it's more that she is so much more confident than i'm used to. i don't understand how people can claim to hate people like miley who haven't actually done anything wrong and who they've never met. sometimes i do think "woww, she's loud", but i'm not going to judge her because i have never met her in real life. she seems like a happy, caring person as well when you see her in some of her interviews.

i wish people would stop posting what we "should" be listening to instead of "this crap". i like miley cyrus' music, yeah-but i also like so much other stuff, from the chili peppers to the libertines to the cribs. people's tastes are different-how can anyone say that your taste is "bad" when it's up to personal opinion? and i hate music snobbery too. just because this isn't deep, meaningful music, doesn't mean we can't like listening to it because it's fun to listen to. so what if it's not going to go down in history? we can still call it an amazing song, because we love listening to it, and that's what makes it amazing-our own individual opinions.

miley does write a lot of her own songs, and for a 16 year old to have this kind of success from songs that she has written herself-well, i think it's pretty impressive. and finally? if you hate the song so much, don't listen to it. don't read the lyrics. and definitely don't post telling other people how much you hate it. then, you won't have to suffer it and the fans who actually want to talk about it can do without being hated on. miley's audience is made of a lot of kids, too-maybe you should think about the kid you're upsetting before you slate them? or even if they're not a kid-being on the internet doesn't mean you have to lose all decency just because you'll never meet them. it's still being nasty, whether you know them or not.

    :)

HAHAHA okay, so I was on yahoo.com's home page and I saw that they were plugging this song's video and I figured I'd check into how bad pop music is nowadays. I've got to say that I was so glad I checked into this song because it made me laugh harder than I've laughed in quite awhile. The lyrics are so bad that I can't even imagine what went through this girls head when she played back the song and thought, "Hey, that's great." I mean, any song that says "If you text it, I'll delete it" needs to be mocked immediately. I'm not saying that all pop music is bad, because there are some bright lights being creative, i.e. Justin Timberlake...but outside of him pop is just a disaster and the fact that people are listening to this unoriginal garbage is pathetic. I know I'm going to get hateful comments back at me from 15/16 year old girls who listen to this song and sing it back in the mirror and then cry about lost 'love', and I frankly don't mind. Go listen to some Devendra Banhart/Fleet Foxes/My Morning Jacket/Sigur Ros/Radiohead....if you can't see the genius in at least one of those bands then you need to re-evaluate your musical preferences. HAHA "IF YOU TEXT IT, I'LL DELETE IT!"

&& btw, did anyone else find it completely creepy when the music video started and she was just standing there saying "sha". WHAT'S GOING THROUGH THIS GIRL'S HEAD?

    Props to Rockstar729.

But this song is totally bulls**t. She ripped it off the poem the character Kat writes in the movie The 10 Things I hate about you. This is the poem...

I hate the way you talk to me
And the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car.
I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots
And the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick.
                    It even makes me rhyme.

I hate the way you're always right.
I hate it when you lie.
                    I hate it when you make me laugh;
Even worse when you make me cry.

I hate it when you're not around
And the fact that you didn't call,
                    But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you;
                    Not even close;
                    Not even a little bit;
                    Not even at all.

See the resemblance? She's not a musician, she can't write a song for s**t let alone sing. She's only famous because of her father who was a one hit wonder.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
