Now won't you run and tell your boyfriend
Tell him don't hold his breath for me
I got some money I was saving
Got some hearts that I'll be breaking
Know someday they'll make a martyr out of me
I know someday they'll make a martyr out of me

She's so fine

And I like sometimes to wave it high
Up where everyone can see

I'm a lady
Got my mind made up
Got my mind made up

I know I spend magic reel it out
Try to hold a light to me

I'm a lady
Got my mind made up
Got my mind made up

I like to watch the way the wind blows
What does it know that I don't yet?
Ooh, oh, look so pretty now
You're just so sweet
Let's see how far you can get
See just how far you can get

She's so fine

And I like sometimes to wave it high
Up where everyone can see

I'm a lady
Got my mind made up
Got my mind made up

I know I spend magic reel it out
Try to hold a light to me

I'm a lady
Got my mind made up
Got my mind made up

And the dream's all gone
And the dream's all gone
No one said no, no one said
Make something with
what's in your head
And the dream's all gone
And the dream's all gone

And I like sometimes to wave it high
Up where everyone can see

I'm a lady
Got my mind made up
Got my mind made up

I know I spend magic reel it out
Try to hold a light to me

I'm a lady
Got my mind made up
Got my mind made up

And I like sometimes to wave it high
Up where everyone can see

I'm a lady
Got my mind made up
Got my mind made up

I know I spend magic reel it out
Try to hold a light to me

I'm a lady
Got my mind made up
Got my mind made up

(Got my mind made up, Got my mind made up)
(Got my mind made up
(Got my mind made up, Got my mind made up)

(Got my mind made up, Got my mind made up)
(Got my mind made up)
(Got my mind made up, Got my mind made up)

And I like sometimes to wave it high
Up where everyone can see

I'm a lady

she's saying she's a strong minded independant woman. these are so few and far between she feels its something to sing about and that people will be so impressed that she will probably become a martyr. but then she still goes on to say your so pretty, see how far you can get. because she is attractive she will always been seen as nothing more than a woman; an object, therefore only capable of stereotypical behaviour.

See, i think this is about her being completely confident in her own skin. She knows exactly what she's doing.

And I think when she says "Ooh oh look so pretty, now you're just so sweet But see how far you can get", I think she's talking about just a gorgeous girl who thinks she's better than her but being pretty only gets you so far.

"I know what's been mad, you really don't, try to underlight to me"

Heh, either way, I think this is the best pop song ever ever ever made.

    who sings this part?:

"And the dream's all gone And the dream's all gone No one said no, no one said Make something with what's in your head And the dream's all gone And the dream's all gone "

doesn't it kinda sound like julian casablancas?

It's her fiance Trouble Andrew who sings the end part. His album is great too.

    My Opinion

    I think the chorus is:

And I like sometimes to wave it high Yeah where everyone can see I'm a lady Got my mind made up Got my mind made up I know I spin magic, reel it out try to hold a light to me I'm a lady Got my mind made up Got my mind made up

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
