The time is blowing out
Dividing you and me
Can you see me?
Everything is wrecked and grey
I'm focusing on your image
Can you hear me in the void?
I will fight the time and bring you back
I will fight the time and bring you back
(Repeat to fade)
Dividing you and me
Can you see me?
Everything is wrecked and grey
I'm focusing on your image
Can you hear me in the void?
I will fight the time and bring you back
I will fight the time and bring you back
(Repeat to fade)

I see that I was totally wrong...
I believe that the whole album is about lost love. In an interview, Anthony Gonzalez said that this is his least favorite album in his discography, and I think the theme tells us why-- mainly, nostalgia, losing someone (or a number of someones) extremely close to his heart and having to deal with the emptiness that left within him. He commented that he made it "in a bad time in my life".
The consensus about a lover who has died/in a coma I agree with. That makes sense.
This track is about the person waking up at the end of the album, and they don't want the image of their love's face to disappear; the person wants to stay in that time period or "fight the time and bring you back".
I think this love of the person is the graveyard girl (I think it's her voice that appears in Highway of Endless Dreams too)
Midnight Souls Still Remain is like a final dreamy reminiscence.
i also think (in a weird way) this is about a couple, involved in a relationship, and one of them is on a coma and the other one is trying to talk to him/her.
also think one of them is having an overdose, lol.
saturdays=youth has to be one of the top 3 2008 albums
Might this be about a lover who has died and the persons alive lover is obsessed with bringing him/her back? I think this because it says "can you hear me in the void?" Which would most likely talk about death since in the song it mentions fighting time.
So...yeah, that's my interpretation.
I really love the part when "I will fight the time and bring you back" starts to become more audible through all of the noise.
This song is really good, I didn't know what anyone was really saying up until now. The lyrics are very depressing if that is what the song is about.
