    General Comment:great song from a phenomenal band...im not going to lie i thought it was the 'c word' too, thats why i checked up on the lyrics..

    General Comment:the character of the song is in the beginning of a new relationship (the first verse). She's getting carried away and thinks it might be something big. However, she's been damaged by too many bad relationships in the past ("broken hearts/forgettable false starts") and is wary of jumping into this one ("It's times like these I think too much/please don't think too much").

    She tries to talk herself out of it, but she's hooked ("This all fits together but it's not what you think/Oh there I go again"). She sees something different in this person. It seems to her like they understand her ("but you're listening to every word I say and I'm trying not to give it all away").

    In the end she decided to go out on a ledge, to take the risk. She trusts this person but fears he may give up on her or hurt her like many have in the past ("You can have 'em right now but you better not look away/this is me trying to be brave").

    It's so common that we get caught up too quickly in relationships and open up only to have the door slammed in our face. I think this one might work...

    General Comment:i think its about bein in love with a really close friend, like an old friend, and having to keep the feelings hidden becuause letting them know could ruin the friendship. and hanging around as friends, trying to keep a distance and it being made harder cos the friend is oblivous and needs you just as a friend. trying to let them know but too subtley becuase of being careful not to risk the friendship....
    thats my guess anyway!! awesome song!!!

    General Comment:This song is about trust issues, or at least that's what I get from it. It's about not being able to let anyone in because of those issues. ("'cause I can’t let you in/'cause these walls have been built")

    In the end of the song, though, these "walls" are being broken. They're letting someone in. ("And all my broken hearts/and all my forgettable false starts/well you can have them right now/but you better not look away/You can have 'em right now but you better not look away")

    General Comment:its not the 'c word', its 'you like to keep that console on' according to kate cooper - the lead singer, so straight from the horse's mouth (yeah i went there).

    To me this song is about a person taking a chance on a dysfunctional relationship.

    General Comment:I think this song is about someone you really like or even love but you cant show it to them for whatever reason. You're even starting to distance yourself from that person ("i cant let you in") because he or she's not giving you the affection you want them to give you.
