So sick of the hobos
Always beggin' for change
I don't like how I gotta work
And they just sit around and get paid

I hate all of the people
Who can't drive their cars
Bitch you better get out of the way
Before I, start falling apart

I hate how my wife
Is always up my ass
She always wants to buy brand new things
But I, don't have the cash

[Chorus]
Well I hate my job, all of my rich friends
I hate everyone to the bitter end
Nothing turns out right, there's no end in sight
I hate my life

How come I never get laid?
Nice guys always lose
How could she have another headache?
There's always some kind of excuse

I still hate my job
My boss is a dick
I don't get paid nearly enough
To put up with all of his shit

[Chorus]

I hate that I can't tell
When a girl's underage
And how when I tell her she's a nice piece of ass
Then her daddy punches me in the face

So if you're pissed like me
Bitches here's what you've gotta do
Put your middle fingers up in the air
Go on and say "fuck you"

[Chorus]

So much at stake
Can't catch a break
I hate my life

Now there's nothing new
And it sucks to be you
I fucking hate my life

General Comment:The band's lead singer, Tyler Connolly explained this song during a concert. He said: "I wrote this song because one day I got out of bed and was like, 'Today feels like it's going to be a bad day. I can feel it.' I realized that there are people out there that have it worse than most people who bitch and complain, and decided to write it so maybe it could make someone's day a little better."

General Comment:I cannot believe all the fucking whiners. Grow up, for God's sake. I get so sick of hearing about how rock is dead and "the good old days". If you miss it so much, build a time machine and go back there, because we don't want your cheese and whine ass here. It doesn't matter whether they're being serious or sarcastic (the writer(s) or whoever). Pretty much everyone has a bad day once in a while, and if you take a good look at the world, there are a lot of constantly pissed off people. My 15 year old dog could come up with better lyrics than your stupid child: how many times do you see or hear "new" songs on the radio that are terrible covers of good songs, steal lyrics from other songs, etc.? Don't compare this single song to a shit band like Nickelback...talk about "whiny singing." Nickelback may have a couple of great hits, but come on. It's so wonderful to hear about how offended people are by the lyrics. Of course, every other group in the rock world are saints, and their music and videos don't have swearing, nudity, and everything else. I, for one, love this song. It's ironic looking at most of the comments here. At least I know I can just go watch and listen to the song and laugh my ass off at some of you losers.

General Comment:I hated this song at first, absolutely despised it, but learning the lyrics to this song I know I'm way wrong, it isn't bad after all.

I was deeply struck by the line "How come I never get laid, nice guys always lose" those lyrics are the anthem of my life.

General Comment:I agree with Waterlink above. Most commenters here who hate this song probably are under 25 years old, and have not experienced real life. Yes, the band did a great job with this song. Listening to it is very cathartic becuase it helps the listener to recognize they are not alone in thier day-to-day struggles of life. If you've only had one job (like most kids) you have no way to relate to this song. If' you've never been married to a wife who won't "put out" - then you can't relate to this song. If you've never had a long fricken day at the office slaving away for people who don't appreciate you , only to have to deal with 30+ mile s of traffic to get home - then you can't appreciate this song.

Lots of young people today have had such good lives - they whine when thier parents don't buy them a new car every 2 years. GET fucking real! You need to grow up and get some erxperience of REAL life and what REAL struggle is about before you go shooting off your fat lips about a song you have no idea how to relate to . So just shut the fuck up and sit down assholes.

How come I never get laid

General Comment:amazing song? this shit sucks. i know this song isnt serious but cmon, these lyrics are corny as hell!
but it just shows music these days lacks any creative thought or talent. i bet everyone who likes this mainstream "alternative rock" has an IQ below 100. apparently now you can learn a few chords on guitar, write some corny lyrics and youre an amazing musician making amazing songs. lol..pathetic. get real people!
