    General Comment:I think this song is about a girl in a relationship with a guy she likes a lot but there is something about it that's she's not happy with. If she stays with him & she starts to feel like she's losing herself & therefore lost to him. So she's indecisive & confused about staying or leaving & it's affecting him (yes, no, maybe is all I need to hear from you). When she leaves, she is out on the ice...maybe she's out there being single trying to fill the void...or maybe she's being cold to him. And when she decides to come back & stay with him she slowly falls apart inside because he's no good for her~but she loves him at the same time & doesn't know what to do. As she holds on to what she can with him, & stays in the relationship, she is taking him down with her indecision.

    Meanwhile maybe there's another guy who loves her & who will always be there for her & she doesn't know what to do (kind of like love vs. security situation) OR He is saying that he will always be there for her (because she's crazy about her). He wants her to stay with him even if it breaks her heart as to not tear them apart.

    General Comment:I think this song is about a guy who loves this girl, but the girl is already in a relationship with another guy. This other guy doesn't treat her right (if things go crazy, she's lost herself and lost to you) e.g. she is depending on the other guy and if he is getting violent then "she's breaking down slowly" and so will never have the confidence to leave the abusive guy for the other guy who really loves her. She won't talk about the problems though even though the guy who loves her knows what is happening and by keeping silent she's out there on the ice (in a very bad situation).
    Just a thought?

    General Comment:Lol ice addiction. Sorry, but I seriously doubt it. Why do all songs have to somehow be about drugs? :/

    Anyway, this holds a different meaning to me. I asked out my crush last year ("yes, no, maybe, is all I need to hear from you") and he actually didn't even respond ("now that nothing's spoken, she's out there on the ice again")... but it's hard to say what the rest means.

    I actually think what Bobaloots has written is probably a more accurate representation but I like to stick to my own little personal meanings when I can :)

    General Comment:This is a good song and i got an idea of what its about. i think its a guy and girl in a relationship and the girl isn't very commited. I think they argue (things go crazy, nothing spoken) and she takes advantage of it by going out and doing petty singles activities (out there on the ice is kinda like saying walking on thin ice) such as a bars and clubs or seeing an exboyfriend during that cooling off period. Its tearing him up (take me down slowly) cuz any second the metaphorical ice could break but shes "holding on to what she can" with him and thats why hes the guy there for her when she decides to calm down. in the end i think its actually a warning from him that if she keeps it up he will leave her even if it breaks her heart.

    even if it breaks your heart" - she needs to go to rehab, boy still loves girl rah rah rah

    just pointing out what seems kind of obvious to me
