Everyone knows
What you know
All except me
That ain't right
Let me know
When I get
The respect that I'm due if only for tonight
Watch me mix it
In my basement
With no makeup
I feel naked now
Ha Ha Ha
I never really lost the fight
but I never really won it
Ha Ha Ha
And die my darling
Ha Ha Ha
P.S.-- Welcome to my life

My Opinion:One of the songs I actually like from If, though I hated it at first. Pretty sweet instrumentals in this one, if you ask me.

My Interpretation:I think it's about a control freak.

General Comment:I think he is talking about a person close to him who he thought respected what he does but later found out that behind his back would tell people what they really thought. The mix it in the basement line to me means making the music. Without make-up refers to Jimmy without an act up, so him feeling naked was them getting to see him in a "vulnerable" state and after they showed their true colors he felt exposed and hurt. When the fight happened over their facade it ended poorly and yeah he was right, but the outcome changed things that he ended up wishing didnt change.

well thats what I hear. amazing song tho.

General Comment:I think he's talking about being surrounded by fake, pretentious "Friends" who all talk about him therefore they "know what he doesn't know" and he's being sarcastic when he says "let me know when you're finally gonna give me some respect"

General Comment:Don't know what it means but 1. This album is the best since Frankenstein Girls. 2. the bass line in theis song during the chorus is awesome.

General Comment:i think it's a song about jealousy.

"Watch me mix it in my basement" must mean like poison or something.

"I never really lost the fight, but I never really won it" means that he may have made a point, but it was kinda pointless.

"And die my darling" would be anger associated with jealousy

"P.S., welcome to my life" I think the person might have been trying to make jimmy jealous to hide the fact that their life isn't all that great, and now that they're complaining about their life jimmy's sorta mocking them, basically saying "your life is not the only one that's a piece of shit."

General Comment:Agreed, I'm still trying to come up with exactly what I think it means. Obviously seems to have some to know with being fake, aka no make up, feeling naked.
