Tape ain't gonna fix it honey,
It ain't gonna stick
Tape ain't gonna fix it honey,
Iit ain't gonna stick to you

Six kinds of glue
Won't hold you
Won't hold you
Oh my oh, oh my you got to

You got to go steal ahead.

Time ain't gonna cure you
Honey, time don't give a shit.
Time ain't gonna cure you
Honey, time's just gonna hit on you

You got to go steal ahead.

General Comment:I saw them a few months back. They are both great. She is the best frontman i've ever seen. She commands the stage.
I think the song is about aging. Tape won't help, neither will glue. You'll have to steal a new head.

General Comment:I always thought it was "go steal a HIT" but maybe that's because I heard this song first in the movie "Repeaters."

General Comment:The chorus is not what it sounds like. It's actually, "You've got your ghost in my head."

General Comment:I don't think theft of any kind is involved. It's a misspelling. "Steel." They're just saying you have to be strong. "Go steel ahead." It's simple.

General Comment:i think it's go steal a HAND actually, like get married or hold someones hand or something along those lines in meaning: get with someone

Lyric Correction:Subtle difference, but it's probably "steel" instead of "steal." Go steel ahead.

General Comment:I think it is about someone calling a person out on their pretentious bullshit. Basically, the person they are addressing fakes it to get by...never addresses their problems or issues, they never get to the root of the problem, instead they use a quick fix...like 'tape' or 'glue'...it's not going to fix it. And because the person is this way, other people suffer for it, especially the ones that are in intimate relationships with this person. But this person is too lazy to change, even for the people they claim that they love. At least that is what it means to me.
