I knew these people, these two people
They were in love with each other

Nothing is easy, I know
Nothing is easy, I know
Nothing is easy, I know
Nothing is easy, I know

It's been a pleasure, I'm sure
Will you be around long enough
So that I can say, "I told you so?"
Because I'm getting used to you now

Nothing is easy, I know

Yeah, it's all worth it, I'm told
Do it; don't rehearse
And don't you worry, I can let myself out

Nothing is easy, I know
Nothing is easy, I know

Oh, what the hell did you expect?
Did you think life would write you a check
And say, "Don't you worry, I'll handle the rest?"
Because nothing is easy, I know

I knew these people, these two people

General Comment:technically...this is not a modest mouse song in any respect. because the only part of modest mouse in the song is isaac brock. i mean, it's a really great song, but it's purely a six parts seven song. but whatever. there's a bunch of ugly casanova lyrics in the modest mouse section too. :)
