Oh, how it's been so long.
We're so sorry we've been gone.
We were busy writing songs for...
you!

Oh, how it's been so long.
We're so sorry we've been gone.
We're were busy writing songs for...
you!
You don't have to worry 'cause we're still the same band.

You don't have to worry, you don't have to worry, you don't.
You don't have to worry, you don't have to worry, you don't.

Oh, how it's been so long.
We're so sorry we've been gone.
We're were busy writing songs for...
you!

My Opinion:Well, I think that Pretty.Odd. was an amazing album, considering that I'm more of a rocker with all the loud music and insane drums and all (kinda like the sound of AFYCSO). I agree, Pretty.Odd. may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you can't deny that it takes a lot of talent of thought to come up with this album. They may, at first, seam like a hard-try copy of The Beatles, but Panic still added their own style to it too. Both albums can make me high. AFYCSO makes me want to go crazy and just rock out, but Pretty.Odd. is so sweet and heartwarming that it makes me feel calm and out of this world, like everything would be alright and I can go dance around in my own little garden.

Of this song, I don't think there's a deeper meaning than what it is at face-value, though there may be some sarcastic undertones, considering that a lot of Ryan's songs are sarcastic. They're saying that they're still the same band, not the same sound. But they're still Panic, and they still love their fans and their songs, and I think it's sweet they actually took the time to make an introductory song for us fans, even if it was short. Sarcastic or not, I think they adore us fans just as we adore them.

General Comment:I honestly don't see what all the hubbub is about the song, I always saw it as a kind of cute apology, not sarcasm and rudeness.

I thought it was just a cutesy sort of apology from band to fan.

"We're so sorry! It's been too long! We've got more songs for you! And don't you worry because we haven't changed a bit!"

And I really don't see the huge difference between the albums, I really don't :\

General Comment:I have to agree with Kipsy Koopa, although for slightly different reasoning. The song itself was fine (unlike most of their album, IMO). It sounded fun and blah blah. But what they were saying "oh, don't worry, we haven't changed! We're still the same band!" is what makes me wanna take my IPod and throw it out a window. They're idiots, saying they haven't changed when they're producing indie Beatles ripoffs. I would rather have a second Fever album then twenty of these CDs, which would be more useful for training my dog to catch and slobber on as a frisbee. The problem is they're so busy trying to prove they're not an emo band, they fail to realize that they've alienated their emo-pop fanbase, which makes up a large portion of their audience. Personally, I hope they move their experimentation elsewhere, as their new album is Pretty. Lame.

Sorry, just my two cents and my opinion.

General Comment:This is the worst song of theirs I had ever heard. The first time i listened to it I wanted to projectile vomit from the crap I was hearing coming from my earphones, and the rest of the album wasnt much better, I could only find 3 whole songs on it that I actually liked.

General Comment:Come on guys! Geez it's just an intro song!!! far out a lot of you are looking into it WAY too much. The meaning is exactly what they are saying:

Oh, how it's been so long.
We're so sorry we've been gone.
We're were busy writing songs for...
    you!
You don't have to worry 'cause we're still the same band.

You don't have to worry, you don't have to worry, you don't.
You don't have to worry, you don't have to worry, you don't.

Their saying that even though their sound has changed, their still the same band. Far out theres been some crazy ass comments on this song. Just relax guys!!! :)

    General Comment:so pretty much
what I got out of this song
since it's all for "pretty odd"
and since the songs on "pretty odd"
are so much different than their style in "a fever you can't sweat out"
I'm pretty convinced that it's to fans, telling them that they're still the same band, they're experimenting with a different style, but they haven't changed.

if that makes enough sense :)

    General Comment:This is cute.
    A nice light-hearted opening really.
But, I kind of agree with some people.
You have to really recognize talent to appreciate this album.
Just like all albums, a few songs stick out to me, but I find the whole album genius, unless their previous.
The other one got old really fast; i don't think it'll be the same with this one.
    (:
