It sounds like it Jesse is talking urgently to Christ. He is telling him that while people are trying to be patient and await his return, people have grown tired and restless.

Here Jesse is saying that has been so long since Christ's first coming that many have begun to lose faith in Him. Many have fallen off the Christian path, so Jesse is hoping that Christ still intends to return and save us. When he says we are "blown like dust", he is saying the heart of man is weak and that, without a sign of His presence or guidance, people will lose faith and continue to fall away from Him. He will eventually pass into myth in our eyes, something that "we invented" in order to help comfort ourselves from the fear of our own mortality.

I'm not sure if I know what Jesse is saying in this verse... it would seem to me that acceptance into The Kingdom of Christ is "closest thing we have to royalty"... Their "parent's pattern" might mean their devout religious lifestyle... because it seems that Jesse and a girl ("We") decide to have sex ("teenage trajedy") instead of waiting for marriage like their parents did ("their romantic palette")... and each lose their virginity to each other ("playing tender like a newborn baby")... then Jesse leaves her the next day, with her praying and considering the consequences of their actions in the eyes of God ("nurse your cherished wounds").

Here it seems Jesse is speaking rather bitterly to Christ. He wonders, in a sarcastic tone, if He is just too busy to return to his children. It seems Jesse tries to insult Him into action by saying that His procrastination is due to "aimlessness" or some Devil ("The Wolf") trickery. Then Jesse wonders, if Christ waits much longer to return, how can He be surprised when He finds that His flock have abandoned Him?

In other words hes saying help the ones you love stay with Jesus because were all being blown away from him since the day we were born.

He saying the only thing they had was a chance to break all there parents patters of losing the ones they loved and staying with them forever but they chose to not get over what happened wen they were younger. and then to avoid this line of mistakes he decides to stay tender and peacfull and forget everything be mindless maby by taking drugs drinking ect. Then he says play tender till the night is over hes saying keep himself in this mindless state till night is over and he has peace. then he says im leaving you to nurture cherished wounds. Hes saying hes doing this cuz he wants to get her out of his head completely and he will care to his wounds just like his ex lover cared for hers.

You are an aimless ghost, you haunt your bag of bones The wolf messed with your vision, he is sitting in your kitchen while you sleep tonight He will eat your young and you will act surprised"" In this ending line hes pointing out how she needs to turn to christ and raise her kids in the lord or theyll get pulled away too. basically when he says I know your busy but please come visit me hes saying even though shes busy she should take the time to listen to what he has to say. then he says you are an aimless ghost you haunt your bag of bones. in other words the way she is living now has no meaning at all and by saying you haunt your bag of bones hes saying bag of bones "when she dies" shes just haunting it by pulling away from god either by longer purgatory or just straightup hell either one which Jesse believes in.Then finally the llast part ""The wolf messed with your vision"" first off the wolf is referring to the devil the devil was mentioned in the bible as a wolf who is crafty and decieving, so the devil messed with her whole vision on life and how to go through it then ""he is sitting in your kitchen while you sleep tonight He will eat your young and you will act surprised"" this is basically saying you've know aloud satin into your houshold and when your guard is down hes gonna go after your children and ruin there perspective on life like he did to her and she will know why her kids ended up like this but is still gonna be surprised knowing that jesse was right.
This is the true perspective of the song it really does make since seeing as how there last cd was about Jesse faith right her hes pronouncing he believes in God. Hope this helps some people who may have questions.
Think it is 'Reverie', meaning they came in a bleary, dreamlike state - maybe awe? Also like the theory that the parenthies are cause it was originally 'Untitled 07 (fork and knife)
