I think, at the beginning of the song it's "she got the power in her hand" instead of "current." I also thought it was "It started in the amazon" instead of what is there, but after listening to the song a couple more times I could be wrong on that one.

This is one of my favorite songs off of their album. I love the disco-like sound; it just makes me want to dance around. I saw MGMT opening for Of Montreal, and man it was awesome!

Lol, searched these guys on google a few months back now and almost nothing came up. These days they're everywhere! Hope they come to Big Day Out or just New Zealand sometime soon. I love this song on record, so would be amazing to hear it live judging by some of the previous comments.

Ha, I met them about a year ago after a gig in the UK (I hadn't actually been to the gig but my friend had) it was before they got big and I didn't even know who they were. Anyway, one thing led to another...!

i assumed from the first time i heard "electric feel" that they were talking about acid, the music video confirmed it. and megavampire69, please think for a second, i realize that you're probably 13 years old, but you have to realize that a band isn't going to say that their hit single is about acid or they'll end up with your parents and a bunch of other kids' parents bitching and moaning until the song is banned from the radio and other forms of media.

About 3/4 of the way into the video, they are dosing each other with tabs. I don't know how they could have made the meaning of the song any clearer. Watching their other videos, its easy to see their affinity for psychedelics.

I thought the lyrics were "saw her in the amber sun" as opposed to "amazon". I like my version better, but doesn't really change the meaning either way...

its not about the acid lol.it has is portion of sexual meaning but the point of the lyrics is to put in words the pure good feeling you get in sex, love, fun and dancing.
