it's about drug/alcohol addiction/abuse and how he's using it to try and solve his problems, i think.

I think it is about how he feels that he has a bunch of pressure on his shoulders and the only escape is drugs and alcohol

I agree with pretty much everyone. It's about escaping his problems and all the pressures by using drugs and alcohol. Ha, but same as Carrie said, I love the way he sings in this one. Haha, and I too, would love to bang him.

probably my favorite lyric on the entire album I love how Say Anything can make the most mundane statements such powerful emotional points in their songs
