    General Comment:Alright. My interpretation to this song. First off, let me void others opinions on this being a comical song. In no way is it. It all starts with "Have At Thee" and leads to "Plea" with this song being in the middle. After hearing the "Hangover Song" along with "Have At Thee" this song is still about the girl he is trying oh-so-hard to forget about. But he wants her back. It's a common feeling. "The night that we met/my favorite band, but you wouldn't know" again hints that he never really opened to her and is now regretting it. When the song breaks down he becomes more serious. He lets out his real emotions of how he wants to feel. He most likely wants these feelings from this girl that seemed so perfect at the time. And he wants to perfect the relationship and get her back.
    ----Sadly, I went through all of these feelings(mostly hangover song and goodbye young tutor)not so long ago. So this song hits home. I fell for a girl and I wanted her to feel the same.----

    General Comment:to those of you saying he's being sarcastic...well, let's just say this is as open and honest as a song can possibly be, because max is really opening himself up here, and showing just how vulnerable he is. "What can I do for you? Just say, Maxim, I love you, I need you, and no one will do but you." everyone needs to hear that sometimes, and the way max has put into words is beautiful.

    General Comment:Max does have a soul.

    "Its really a love story record. Its about how love really can lift you up and destroy you and all those things. I think its an important think people should always sing about. Love is really whats gonna save the world if anything will and redeem everyone, and therefore its always something worth singing about."

    General Comment:I love this song. I think a lot of people can really relate to it, because it really embodies the desperation one feels when your heart is broken. All you want is for that one person to come back, and tell you that you are all they want. Bad breakups always feel like a bad joke, and you are waiting for the "just kidding".

    This CD came out right after I got out of a longterm relationship, and it was really comforting to me to know I wasn't the only one feeling they way I was.

    I especially love the way Max sounds as if he's on the verge of tears the entire song.

    General Comment:It's definitely "Maxim" or "Max, um" not, "Max, oh" If you listen very carefully, you can hear the distinct "m" at the end of the word.

    I definitely agree with skye bird about the meaning, though.

    General Comment:I think it's about the end of a relationship, when they're drifting and he's afraid of losing her. Yes, Max is usually very sarcastic and condencending when it comes to love in general, but to me, this is him saying "Please". He wants to save them, and he wants to hear her say he matters to her. The songs that have been about a girl in this album seem to cover a relationship, and it's been wild, and he wants to hold on to it, I suppose.
