Giving up a life worth leading kills us all
No surprise, the coldest eyes that took all
Giving up a life worth leading tears us down
The longest time, the longest line ever found

Lived your life in sacrifice is what you did
And i don't think a rose or "raise a toast" seems to fit.
I still get scared of fate, and interstates, and death by fire
It's just the longest time, the longest line of heart's desire

Didn't i tell you there was no such thing as a bad bad day?
Oh baby even if there was i wouldn't believe it anyway.

One poison, two poison, three boys
and it's not known for sure.
It's just the coldest eyes and no surprise
and that's not pure.
I still get scared of fate, and interstates, and death by fire
It's just the longest time, the longest line of heart's desire

Didn't i tell you there was no such thing as a bad bad day?
Oh baby even if there was i wouldn't believe it anyway.

General Comment:I also still get scared of fate and interstates and death by fire. And the ending of this song is perfection.

General Comment:"One poison, two poison, three boys" I love the slurring of poison and boys, for her they might be the same thing. I think this song is about someone that died, "Lived your life in sacrifice is what you did
And i don't think a rose or "raise a toast" seems to fit." seems to imply that the persons life was so selfless that no funeral would be enough, roses and toasts just aren't enough. The person died in a car accident and burned to death, so the narrator is still scared of driving on the highway, and is afraid of fate because of what it might bring to her one day.

    General Comment:here's the album version

"Giving up a life worth leading tears us down
No surprise, the coldest eyes never found
Giving up a life worth leading kills us all
The longest time, the longest line left to call"
