I bit my tongue in the akward conversation
I don't know why, I don't know why
I met you once and I'd fallen for your notions
I don't know why, I don't know why

Do you believe that there's treasures in the ocean?
Did I say I'm just a boy?

One kiss from you and I'm drunk up on your potion
That big old smile is all you wore
Girl, you make me want to feel
The things I've never felt before

Girl, you make me want to feel
Did I say I'm just a boy?
Did I say I'm just a boy?
You hold me to that

No lonely hands grab my suitcase full of nothing
I don't know why, I don't know why
You took me in gave me something to believe in
That big old smile is all you wore

Girl, you make me want to feel
Things I never felt before
Girl, you make me want to feel
Did I say I'm just a boy?
Did I say I'm just a boy?
You can hold me to that

Girl, you make me want to feel
Things I've never felt before
Girl, you make me want to feel
Did I say I'm just a boy?
Did I say I'm just a boy?
You can hold me to that

General Comment:I always heard the first line as "I bid my time in the art of conversation". I think I like it better that way for some reason...

General Comment:This is my favorite song by them. I totally agree with you guys, this band is awesome, and selfish as it is I don't want them to go mainstream either. This song sums up a crush so perfectly.

General Comment:Live at The Basement, I saw it on ABC2, Angus introduced the song: "So we've been playing a few festivals here and there, and um, at one I met this really cool girl, she made me feel pretty good. She made me feel like a boy... so this is called Just A Boy"

Love this song :) beautiful music, really simple but amazing lyrics, this is the song that made me fall in love with A&J. Not just their music either; they're shy, it's cute ^_^ they both seem like really genuine people to me, not caught in fame... (watch their Aria acceptance speech, hehe)

General Comment:yeah not really that important but i'm 90% sure that the lyric is "i bit my toungue in the ark* of conversation" seen it on a number of websites and when you listen to it intently; it sounds more like ark than awkward.

Such a beautiful song, I'm sure we've all felt that way.

General Comment:you guys pretty much got it.
this song is amazing and if it goes mainstream i think i might have to choke someone.
they need to come to the US, even though this place is pretty lame. they could spice it up.

    i'm loving that harmonica part.

General Comment:Did Angus ever mention exactly when he met this girl (or woman)?

It just occurred to me that maybe he lost his virginity to her.

    Anyone?

General Comment:Man.. i have a genuine crush on my prof. And i told her about this song, and then realized the subtext there. So now i gaze out the window and just reminisce of how i've fallen for her notions. i dont really know why but she makes me want to feel like there are all these treasures in the ocean, if only we'd search for them you know. And yep she is a Woman, and i am just a boy.....
You can hold me to that.

General Comment:Angus and Julia played this song at Woodford 07/08
Before playing the song, Angus introduced it and said it's about a girl he met at a music festival.
I can relate to that, I also became really infatuated with a girl from a music festival (Woodford Folk Festival). This song makes perfect sense for the situation I was in. Something about music festivals that draws you to wonderful people
