Belief in the breeze,
The smoky morning haze.
The sun on her face,
and the touch of lovers' hands.
The pain that comes today,
Is here, then goes away.

And we are homeward bound,
And I,
I want this more than life,
I want this more than life,
I want this more than life.

To touch something real,
Will help your wounds heal,
Like the sun on your face,
The dreams of starry nights.

And we are homeward bound,
And I,
I want this more than life,
I want this more than life,
I want this more than life

I want this more than life.

General Comment:At a concert Whitley said this song was about thoughts on suicide and how the simple happinesses of life are not possible to be felt in such a depressed state.

General Comment:I think at the beginning, its just memories coming up that are hard to forget, then they are put away for the day. I think its about going forward with your life without someone because you have to and "wanting more than life" to move forward without that pain.

    ps i think it's a leaf too
