Carrion
In a moment I'm lost
Dying from the inside
Her eyes take me away
Tear me apart from the inside out

Dead eyes speak in volumes
But our lips refuse move
Could this ever be the last time?
The final time that we see this through?

Give me the strength to return the breath you've stolen
Give me the means to reset
Her heart I've broken again
Reflection built upon sorrow
We're walking the darkest roads
Within chests carved with regret

In a moment I'm lost
Dying from the inside
Her eyes take me away
Tear me apart from the inside out
From the inside out
The inside out

We've been running blind
Now we're falling through the cracks
We're left running
We are running blind
Now we're falling
Falling through the cracks

Back to the world of the dead
Her shining eyes mark out return back
To the world of the dead

In a moment I'm lost
Dying from the inside
Her eyes take me away
Tear me apart from the inside out
From the inside out
The inside out

My love I left
My heart I left
With my promise to return
A promise to return

General Comment:Brilliant song, wish I could write lyrics like that let alone riffs.

Must be an amazing feeling for Winston aswell hearing his lyrics screamed at him by the 1000's at a gig. Absolutely amazing sing along.

General Comment:I feel like I can relate to this song. It seems like its about two friends, a boy and a girl, that fight AALLLLL the time, and during a really bad fight the girl says she doesnt want to be friends with him anymore and thinks it's best. The boy is in a great depression because he lost his best friend, but in the end she realizes its stupid to not stay friends since they're so close and they make up.

I've been in this situation recently and it's what I think of everytime I hear this song.

General Comment:I just don't see how this song can mean anything outside of love/lost love. I think he (could be Winston, could be just the character of the song or the "speaker") has left, rather it be physically or emotionally. It is obvious, through the song, that he has done this more than once (her heart I've broken again), and regrets it. If it is Winston, then I agree with an above poster who said it is about his girlfriend and him leaving for Europe to tour and America to record. If it is not, then perhaps the "speaker" left due to his own reasons, but promised to return. Or they were simply separated by something they could not control, she is heart broken, so of course he blames himself. He promises he will return and they will be together again.

This song hits home for me on a personal level as my girlfriend is currently 4 hours away and will be for the next 3 years (damn college). So, I can relate real well to this. Been jamming to it all night.

My Interpretation:First of all.... PWD = awesome...

IMO this song is about him trying to resist some girl he's with or been with.

Everytime he meets her or is with this girl, she makes him feel like a lump of lifeless meat [Carrion = food for scavengers], trying to resist her [Give me the means to resist] but fails at resisting her [But a mass refuse to move] hoping this time he will do what he wants to do so it'll finally be all over between them [Could this ever be the last time?], tell her how he feels about their relationship, that it aint gonna work cuz they have nothing but bad memories to look back at [Reflection built upon sorrow, We're walking the darkest roads within chests carved with regret], and he is feeling bad about causing her emotional pain several times and wanting to take her pain away [Give me the means to reset her heart I've broken again] But they keep on trying to make it work although they never get to that point [Falling through the cracks, back to the world of the dead, Her shining eyes mark our return back to the world of the dead].

I might be damn wrong about this, but this is just my humble opinion...
(ps excuse some of my bad english... im trying... :P)

General Comment:hahaha uhhm yeah these lyrics are waaaaay off.
I love this song, so amazing.
these lyrics are different and kinda confusing but I think that it means he's dying because she's left or something happened to her or maybe they are literally dead.
