Re-write these words upon my grave And look down on everything we've loved Loose lips sink ships and leaders For this you need to lead us all. For every change that you've put down on me I've re-read this stone a hundred times. Would you stand over these shadows and embrace our history? We apologise for nothing We apologise for nothing Take the world away from us but We apologise for nothing. If I could gather strength a final time And dream up a war to end all wars Race lists and mist of vengeance I don't fear your movements anymore. Lets celebrate this change in turning tides This revolution won't be televised. Would you stand over these shadows and embrace our history? We apologise for nothing We apologise for nothing Take the world away from us but We apologise for nothing. Cut me out of all of this Cut me out of all of this you say Just cut me out of all of this Cut me out of all of this you say. Would you stand over these shadows and embrace our history? We apologise for nothing Take the world away from us but We apologise for nothing We apologise for nothing. Floods Lyrics You can't all pretend That you don't know enough Enough to make sense All this will be gone And you can sink beneath The rapture we've spawned What have we become You know we don't have all the entire world To make the floods seem still You know we don't have all the entire world To make the most of this Blood will bleed the blind When the only thing diseased their lives Let not the sun their lives On the wrath of this inconvenient truth What have we become You know we don't have all the entire world To make the floods seem still You know we don't have all the entire world To make the most of this Just smile like the idiots you are You know we don't have all the entire world To make the floods seem still You know we don't have all the entire world To make the most of this

General Comment:This song brings forth a mixture of emotions. The strongest is that of sadness. It makes me want to cry. You see I'm coloured. So is Omar Abidi of the band, so in that sense I could be, probably am, wrong.

I've read some of the things you've said about what it could mean and the ones I strongly feel for are the ones about the song being about a form of non apologetic stance towards things done in the past, by whom ever. The ones I stand by in a factual sense are the ones about it being about something to do with the bands former companies and what not. But these things hardly justify such the impact that this song makes. I believe.

Fightstar is a band that sings of worldly affairs, right? They aim to be global. Well, racism and hate against black people, especially in the past, is a global thing, right?

I believe that what Fighstar is saying here, is that and they speak for the entire white race here, is that they "Apologise for nothing". I'm not racist. I love everyone equally. I do.

I've said it before and I totally think I'm wrong about this, but it well, it makes kind of sense, cause you couldn't really apologise for the things your race had done in the past, right? Right?

If else, it makes me fall in love with "white people" even more, if you can stand by what has been done in the past and still live proud and strong today.

General Comment:This is song is about when Charlie ripped up the record label thingy... they were with the same record label as Busted were and the label said they must become more of a pop band rather than a rock band so Charlie ripped it up. So they wrote this song because they wont apologise for doing that i guess!

General Comment:teh lyrics are wrong. instead of "For every change that you've put down on me" it's "For every DRINK that you've put down on me". And insted of "Race list and mist of vengence" it's "Great fists red mists of vengence2 I got it off the album book thingy

General Comment:I kind of agree with SillyHatMan I think it is about a group of revolutionaries (rebels) who are caught, and at their execution they are told to beg for mercy and they will be freed (like Braveheart) and they say no, so their heads will roll away from them. That's just what I think

General Comment:It's "grazed fist red mist of vengeance" which I guess is about outbursts of rage.
This is a total guess but ~I thnk bits of this song are about immigrants, "would you stand over these shadows and embrace our history" (imperialism, slavery etc) and then "just cut me out of all of this, just cut me out of all of this you said" which could be about deportation and nationalism.
Again, that's a guess. I'm never really sure about fightstar's lyrics.
