Shh, quiet, might piss somebody off
Like me motherfucker, you've been at it for too long
While you feed off others' insecurities
You stand in front of me and bite the hand that feeds
Self-righteousness is wearing thin
(Lies inside your head, your best friend)
Heart bleeds but not for fellow men
(Broken glass, your fake reflection)
I've had enough
It's time for something real
I don't respect the words you're speaking
Gone too far
A clone
So how does it feel to know that someone's kid
In the heart of America has blood on their hands
Fighting to defend your rights
So you can maintain a lifestyle
That insults his family's existence
Well, where I'm from we have a special
Salute that we aim high in the air
Towards all those pompous assholes
Who spend their days pointing fingers
(Fuck you)
Shhh quiet might piss somebody off
Like the heartbeat of this country when antagonized too long
I'll be damned if you count me in as part of your generous hypocrisy
Collecting enemies
Tabloid gossip queen worthless man
(There's no need for us to bury you)
Selfish agenda once again
(Right this way you've dug your own grave)
I've had enough
It's time for something real
I don't respect the words you're speaking
Gone too far
A clone
All the way from the east to the west we
Got this high society
Looking down on their very foundation
Constantly reminding us that our actions
Are the cause of all their problems
Pointing their fingers in every
Direction and blaming their
Own nation for who wins the elections
They've never contributed a fucking thing to the
Country they love to criticize
Excuse the obscene, ignore the untrue
Depictions we see try and get through
Admitting mistakes can hurt
I'm not the last but I sure ain't the first
Shh, quiet, might piss somebody off
Self-righteousness is wearing thin
(Lies inside your head your best friend)
Heart bleeds but not for fellow men
(Broken glass your fake reflection)

A7X are conservatives and this song is definitely directed at liberals who actively push for a loss in iraq for their own political gain...disgusting that they would sell their own country down the drain just so they can say "we were right, bush was wrong."
A7X is right on.
This is directly from an interview with M. Shadows:<br /> AVENGED SEVENFOLD wants to warn liberals about something. The metal band's song "Blinded In Chains", which begins with the line "And we're at it again – I turn around another -- war, man," has absolutely nothing to do with the war in Iraq. Or any other war involving guns and bombs. "If I read it, I'd probably get that interpretation, too. I could probably have done a better job," says singer and lyricist M. Shadows, sheepishly. "I've definitely looked at that song and seen where people are coming from."<br /> In fact, "Blinded In Chains" is about the philosophical war between Republicans and Democrats. The former are excessively closed-minded, says Shadows, 24, and the latter are "a bunch of -- idiots where everyone looks at Michael Moore and does what he says." If from that statement you can't glean the band's politics, consider that AVENGED SEVENFOLD sells American-flag T-shirts proclaiming, "Love It Or Die".<br /> "Most people know we're kind of one of the only bands around right now that will admit that we're Republican," says Shadows, who performs at Saturday's Ozzfest on Randall's Island. "When we went on the [punk-rock] Warped Tour last year – all of those bands, they're not only anti-war, they're anti-everything our country stands for. We were like, ' -- this.' We're going to wear our America shirts.<br /> "Kids would eat it up. They loved it," adds Shadows, born Matt Sanders. He acknowledges he's not especially pro-war. "Ninety percent of those bands are talking -- about [President] Bush to 16-year-old kids who can't vote and are just ranting because it's the cool thing to do. It's one of those things where we went out there and did the complete opposite."<br /> <br />
