How much must I curse your name
And put your beliefs to shame
Before you prove yourself
And end this life?

End this life

And I'll say a fucking prayer
Because I know it won't be answered

Where is your god?
Where is your god?
Where is your fucking god?

And even if I don't believe you
I pray for the day
I pray for the day
That you end this life

So please take me away

I want the hand of god
To come and strike me down
I want the hand of god
To come and strike me down

Where is your god?
Where is your god?
Where is your fucking god?

For all the prayers that go unanswered
For all the prayers that go unanswered
Why do you think that is?
For the families that waste their time
Open your eyes

And all your prayers will go unanswered
Why do you think that is?
For the families that waste their time
Open your fucking eyes

He's all like, "God, kill me you pussy!"

"Oh I'm still alive? Then you're not real"

i think Mitch used to be a very strong christian but one day, when he really needed help, and prayed so much, nothing happened. like a family member or a close friend dying. so he is angry and wants to show that there is no god and tell people to do the right thing and live their life. completly agree.

Anyway you are right about the last two paragraphs, random internet guy with something to prove.

But everything up until that is a challenge to god... Unless suicide silence is just being REALLY gay with the double-meanings trying to please faggots like you

Fight_4_Sxe, no, not really suprising. I know Christians that are gorgoroth fans... and if you know gorgoroth, you know they make suicide silence look like a bunch of  little catholic boys.

i like this song. and band.. but ... they are semigeneric.. but yet again, so is every deathcore band lol cause of the new wave of so many. but anyway... good song... and of course gorgoroth does.. they're black metal... which IS ANTICHRISTIAN. lol thats basically the main point of black metal.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
