Back to the street where we began
Feeling as good as lovers can, you know
Yeah, we're feeling so good

Picking up things we shouldn't read
It looks like the end of history as we know
It's just the end of the world

Back to the street where we began
Feeling as good as love
You could, you can

Into a place, where thoughts can bloom
Into a room where it's nine in the afternoon
And we know that it could be
And we know that it should
And you know that you feel it too
'Cause it's nine in the afternoon

Your eyes are the size of the moon
You could 'cause you can, so you do
We're feeling so good
Just the way that we do
When it's nine in the afternoon

Your eyes are the size of the moon
You could 'cause you can, so you do
We're feeling so good

Back to the street
Down to our feet
Losing the feeling of feeling unique
Do you know what I mean?

Back to the place
Where we used to say
Man, it feels good to feel this way
Now I know what I mean

Back to the street, back to the place
Back to the room where it all began
Back to the room where it all began
‘Cause it's nine in the afternoon

Your eyes are the size of the moon
You could 'cause you can, so you do
We're feeling so good
Just the way that we do
When it's nine in the afternoon (x3)

General Comment:I get that it's about being on drugs, but when I first heard it I thought it was about masturbation and always looking at the same picture. I know it's not what it means, but just a thought.

General Comment:This song is about being on a psychedelic.

When I picture them writing the songs for this album I just see them in that cabin with a ton of different drugs and just getting fucked up and writing. Ah, musicians.

The comments saying it's about being on 'shrooms make the most sense to me.

General Comment:"Back to the street where we began
Feeling as good as lovers can, you know
    Yeah, we're feeling so good"

Going back to the street to grab ecstacy
Rolling is a great feeling especially among lovers,
its feels so good to be high

"Picking up things we shouldn't read
It looks like the end of history as we know
It's just the end of the world"

When you're high on e you read things you wouldn't normally
The world is going downhill and it's easy to see

"Back to the street where we began
    Feeling as good as love
    You could, you can"

Grabbing some more like they did before
    still feeling great
    and you could too

"Into a place, where thoughts can bloom
Into a room where it's nine in the afternoon
And we know that it could be
And we know that it should
And you know that you feel it too
'Cause it's nine in the afternoon"

They're in a safe place with no one to judge
It's getting late but it's still early for them
and everybody is having fun and feeling how special the night is

"Your eyes are the size of the moon
You could 'cause you can, so you do
    We're feeling so good
Just the way that we do
When it's nine in the afternoon"

Their eyes are dilated because of rolling
they took it because they can
and they're feeling so good when they take ecstasy at their special time " nine in the afternoon"

    "Back to the street
    Down to our feet
Losing the feeling of feeling unique
Do you know what I mean?"

They have to go back to their dealer again
because from head to toe they're losing their high

    "Back to the place
    Where we used to say
Man, it feels good to feel this way
Now I know what I mean"

Now they're back to an old place where they have a ton of good memories

"Back to the street, back to the place
Back to the room where it all began
Back to the room where it all began
‘Cause it's nine in the afternoon"

Back to where they originally started their roll that night

General Comment:this may be about people who are trying to fit in... but somehow make their own conception of what they are and relate it to the people around them. They lead the people into their conception and made them turn into kind that they are.. haha!

General Comment:Im not sure but i know it must having something to do with being high or something like being confused because there is no such thing as nine in the afternoon if you think about it.

General Comment:Guys, the song is about being high on marijuana. If you've ever been on marijuana, you can reeeaaalllyyy relate it. All the lyrics on this are correct, by the way. If you don't believe that it's about drugs...

"Your eyes are the size of the moon" Meaning, on drugs, the pupil gets bigger.
"Nine In The Afternoon." Referring to the fact that on drugs you sort of want to believe things that aren't real, there is no such thing as nine in the afternoon, but when you're on drugs, you believe in it.
"Man it feels good to feel this way!" Meaning that it felt nice to be on drugs.

DID YOU NOT GET THE REFERENCE? SERIOUSLY?
