I think this song is about a couple and he wants her to know that he is not pretending to be someone and he truly entends to make this work not because of what he can gain from it but because he truly cares for her. He says he will never surrender and he will continue to convince her and claim she needs to figure out herself before she accuses someone because she just might be pretending to be somenoe.

I'm a paranoid schizo-effective who has auditory delusions. I think that the voices in my head are real on my worst days, and I have a few skeletons in my closet that are basically thoughts that I've not allowed to come to fruition. So I thought/think that this song was directed at me. The beginning - keep you in the dark... I think that's about everyone else in the world (oh, by the way, in my head, everyone else in the world can communicate through thoughts) keeping me in the dark about the horrible things that the voices in my head say I've been through or will go through while on roofies or something like that, as a response to me keeping them in the dark about aforementioned skeletons. "And so it all began?" reference to when my delusions/secrets started up. "Sing as their bones come marching in...again; They need you buried deep; The secrets that you keep are at the ready; Are you ready?" I love to sing, my voices conspire to kill me, my secrets are obvious (because everyone else can hear my thoughts), so am I ready to live them out?

I could go on, but I just got called into work... basically I think the whole song is about me, or possibly all of the people like me in the world. Dave's into drugs and drinking like I was, so maybe there are some similarities, some shared thoughts or visions, etc. I also think that "Icky Thump" by the White Stripes is their prediction of how I will die - standing up with a gun in my mouth, pull the trigger, someone says "icky," and then my body "thumps" onto the ground.

I know, I know, you all wish you could have these lovely thoughts like me.

You might want to sit down for what the lyrics (I believe) mean.

The song is about the rejection of the New World Order we are seeing taking place after 9/11 and is ongoing. The changes to our rights through legislation as the puppet on the left or right of the political parties slowly take us into One World Government after their next false flag attack (to take even more rights away from us like 9/11 did).

We think by changing political parties we get change but neither party is for us ......Just slowly marching us into debt slaves, tax slaves. Remember the lyrics right from the start. 'Keep you in the dark, you know they all (politicians) pretend, keep you in the dark and so it (New World Order) all began'.

'Send in your skeletons (our troops in an illegal war & occupation). See as their bones go marching in ......again' (more troops/civilians being used more dying).

'They need you buried deep' (keep the masses busy with fashion/sports on tv/break up of the family unit, etc). The secrets that you keep (the politicians at the elite end not giving us the true story of what they have in store) Are you ready? (for the mind revolution). I'm finished making sense (trying to explain to people that the New World Order is coming to the masses can be difficult when you hear it for the first time) done pleading ignorance (the public can't look away anymore to this illegal occupation).

It goes on guys, Even the music video shows the band playing on a white backdrop for peace as the cops who are being lined up (with full armour) and mind poisoned about who the enemy is (not all of them) into thinking if we speak out we are against our country???

Watch movies like 'LOOSE CHANGE', 'END GAME', 'THE OBAMA DECEPTION', 'THE FALL OF THE REPUBLIC' all on YOUTUBE and you will realise what is going on in our planet. Make the resistance to the New World Order a peaceful one and pass these films on together to show people why the foo fighters are calling out like I am. Peace and love 2012 is about a mind revolution. turn your tv outside and give your Mum a hug and tell her how much you love her AND TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS!
